View Full Version : Fantasy Football team names?

I am looking for some creative suggestions on the naming of my fantasy team this year. Normally I try to go with something in the headlines, but I refuse to deal with worn-out themes exemplified by the Vicksburg Bulldogs, the Jackson Predators, the Alaska Schwing Vote, or the Obama Nations. And for the life of me, I haven't come up with anything funny about Nationalized Health Care.

I am kinda working with the Singapore Asphyxiators, or the Auto-Eroto Grasshoppers, but neither of them is quite right.

If you think about it, the Buenos Aires Layovers has some humor ... but most have to think too hard to get it.

It's early in the "scandal", but maybe the Pitino thing could bear fruit. Maybe the Louisville Carnals? eeehhhhhhhh.

What obvious current event am I blanking on? One that is both topical and has the potential for humor?

Am open to your input and suggestions. Have fun with it. Can be suggestive but not obscene (I might run for president someday).

Thanks!

we named our team "Kibbles and Vicks"

I also liked "Amish Electricians"

I like to avoid current event type names. A few years back I had back to back fantasy league championships with Strickland Propane. Although unsuccessful, Tom Seleck's Mustache is still one of my all time favorites.:D If you're still looking for a current event name, The Pitino scandal could be a good one, or you could always be the Fantasy Football Czar.
