Somebody explain to me why the Rangers manager puts in Francisco with a 2 run lead in the ninth and then sits there and watches the guy give the game away. What an idiot with such a big game. The guy has given up 4 runs and he is still in there giving up doubles. UNF*CKING believable and while I type he gives up a 2 run home run. Great coaching job:rolleyes:

8-4 and they are still in the top of the ninth. I knew better than to think this year would be any different:Censor:

I'm not giving up on my Rangers, but this loss tonight was a tough pill to swallow. One strike away from taking a half game lead on Boston for the Wild Card spot. :(

he left the guy in there when he couldn't get anyone out. What kind of stupidity was that? He let him give up 6 freaking runs:rolleyes: I am sorry but that was a bad job of managing and if the Rangers don't make the playoffs he needs to be fired!

I don't blame the manager Dawg. Frankie had a two run lead and blew it - he is not the same since he got that bad flu. I see what you're saying, but he had to stay in there at least through Bay.

This was the toughest loss of the year so far. Could have led to a sweep, now they have to regroup to win the series.

he should have pulled him when he saw he didn't have any movement on his fastball. He did the pitcher and the team a disservice by keeping him in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers get swept this series after this kind of loss. This was too big of a game and the Manager blew it. A chance to get a game on the Angels and take the wild card lead from Boston. I am not impressed with his decision making at all.:(

I want to see Neftali Perez get some chances to close out some games. This loss sucked but it's not the end of the world... still of ton of baseball to be played. We should be getting Kinsler back soon and he'll add some much needed pop to the lineup.

I think you mean Neftali Feliz! I say they move him to closer for the rest of the season. If the Rangers want to get into the playoffs we cant be blowing leads like this! But you cant blame Washington. Francisco has to come through with a 2 run lead!

Yeah Feliz. He has some sick stuff to go along with his 98mph fastball. He struck out 7 in a row and tied the Rangers record.

The fact that we are talking about the Rangers in August is positive. They haven't been hitting like they are capable of and they are right in the hunt. :notworthy

You have to blame the coach, he should have pulled the guy after the second batter. Everyone and their dog could see Francisco had nothing. He left him in there and not just lost the game but got blown out leaving virtually no chance for the Rangers to come back. Yea, it was the coaches fault....big time

i doubt washington wants to put the final outs of a game in the hands of someone with 6 career innings of work in the middle of a tight and very exciting playoff race...dude might be the next big thing, but it's almost september now...

They may actually pull this game out as long as they don't bring in Francisco to close it out. I hope the next pitcher beans the first Red Sox batter after what that chickens*it Cabrera did to Kinsler.:Censor::mad:

The pipeline is loaded with with talent too. Who gets the credit? Daniels? Ryan? New pitching coach Maddux? Wash?

We have a 21 year old SS batting 266 in the #9 slot. That is solid and he has yet to have a real bad strech. We have a bunch of pitchers under 25. We also still have a few gas cans too, but that is OK. It is hard not to like what you see. I bet the attendance was high again tonight.

8 stolen bases breaks 31 year old club record. Andrus - 4; Bourbon - 3, and somebody else gets one.

Holland - 22
Feliz - 20

Combined they are younger than Jamie Moyer.

The Rangers just keep refusing to go away. Everytime they lose a heartbreaker, people start to say that it's the beginning of the end for them. They continue to show resiliency, over and OVER again.

This team is a serious threat.

I kind of hope someone goes head hunting. Red Soxs throw at people all the time themselves. Inside and low is one thing but it went high in the 7th and in the 8th hitting Kinsler. He just got off the DL for pete sake... so what if he hit a home run.

Once again, the Rangers have continued to show that they have heart. They've really bought into what Washington has preached since he's been here. More importantly, the players believe in their manager and vice versa. It was great to see Frankie bounce back today as well.
