you want to bring up the past, Lewisville 3 state finals apperances with 2 state titles. Waco High 0 state title apperances which by my math would equal 0 State Championships. Speaks volumes for our program when you brag abotu a win over us 7 years after the fact

Trinity losses Nance, Handy and Vittatoe. All three of those guys were great. I believe they return a few linemen as well as a great TE in Scoggins. On defense I believe they return quite a few starters. Their defense is great against the run and will be better against the pass next year with the experience they have. It is impossible to ask anyone to replace the production that the big 3 of Nance, Handy and Vittatoe provided this year, however Coach Lineweaver as won with far less talent than he will have at Trinity. The Trojans will remain strong and have won 9 games or more in each of the last 5 seasons and 7 out of the last 8.

I think we can handle Trinity this season.......especially with what we have returning.......hopefully our O-LINE will return to form and get some big guys back........last year we featured our smallest OLINE ever. Defense is always good in Waco......and will return a great group next season. It will be a great game to see!

Well I could go back to the past and factor in our class B championships since we were class B till 1951
1932 Class B Region Champs at 10-0 outscored our opponents 190-6
1947 Class B Region 5 Champs at 13-0 outscored our opponents 445-27
1950 Class B region 5 champs at 11-0, outscored our opponents 256-33. :D

yep..the new school is 0fer....but the trophies are in the foyer at Waco High......it's all the same to me. We might be adding to the collection this season in 4-A.

Please tell me you are not singing the praises of Tusa now? If I remember correctly and my memory is pretty good, you are is biggest critic. Now all the sudden he can outcoach Joey Florence?

Let me inform you on the word around Denton, this past year was probably one of the least talented Denton Ryan teams inteh Florence era, his current stock of freshmen have been said to be the greatest class to ever come through the halls of Billy Ryan High School. Factor the coaching of Florence with the talent he will possess and that is going to be one very difficult team to beat.
As far as Coach Harrell is concerned, he very well could leave Ennis before next year starts, if he does then that program will take a major hit, if he stays then they will be competitive and competing for championships every year. Waco High has not even come close to sniffing a state championship since 1999, in that time frame Ennis has won 3 championships and Ryan has won 2 while playing for another 2. Those programs know how to win, can Waco say the same thing?

Yes, I was a critic...but he is changing the program (offense especially) and I think they will be pretty strong next season.

Hmmm......both teams are in 4-A while Waco High was in 5-A. I think Waco could have done the same thing in 4-A even during their bad years. We are the smallest school in 5-A and have been for some time and still do extremely well against schools that are double and triple our size.

During that time playing teams like The Woodlands, Converse Judson, Lufkin, Tyler Lee, John-Tyler, Copperas Cove, A&M Consolidated, etc.

We shall see what happens in the near future.....i'm looking for both Waco High and University to be in the district with Ennis.

Waco High would not have been able to beat Ennis or Ryan during their state championship years.

For your information, during the regular season, Trinity's 2nd string offensive backfield got almost as much playing time as the 1st string did. They're experienced and confident. Next year's O-Line is even bigger than the 2005 O-Line.

Best slogan written on a car going to the state championship game -
You can't score without a Trojan!

Cove has a much better chance of winning state then Waco does. Cove has been competitive the past few years and had a great year this year. Waco can't say the same.
You're right about Randy Allen being at HP as long as they keep staying 1 student below the cutoff they should be competitive, of course with the new QB coming in from Atlanta, GA that should be enough to push them over the limit, at least that is the joke on another website.
