Agreed - must be a typo. I have CP finishing third in district, and they will be competitive in all 5 games. New Caney will not be.

That's a typo because they say Parsons should lead CP to the playoffs in the 5 Questions portion.

If you saw our 2nd half effort against New Caney last year, you would not think that prediction was totally baseless.

And that was nothing compared to the fan support we got all year. Somebody forgot to tell us that there were other games other than the TWHS game.

And you go by what the Chronicle sports writers say why???? They hardly ever run an edit on their pieces. I'm sure it was a typo. Can't wait to see how they line us up tomorrow. I'm sure we'll be near the bottom unless Khan is putting it together. Those things, along with polls, always make me laugh...especially when people take them seriously. These are opinions only....uh oh, here I go with my preseason spiel about polls and opinions again;):rolleyes:. Your opinion is just as reasonable as theirs, especially if you have an argument to back it up. Opinions are like bills in Congress - a dime a dozen.

They must have had the same writers for the 13-5a preview...all I can say is the Chron needs to get their money back for those articles...

I think most polls have 14 and 15 as the 2 worst districts in the Region. So if our schools end up in the bottom half of those districts, it's pretty much like belonging to the toilet bowl. Of course the key always is for the players to try and embarrass the sportswriters when the actual games are decided.

Not about Falls's placement - that's where I figured they would put them and that's fine - gives the team something to bond over and prove the naysayers wrong:). But, I do have to pick the piece apart. Khan listed Ridge twice so I assume the last place team is Springs? He mentions that Langham only won 3 games last year - HUH??? I think he meant Falls...we only won 3 and have nowhere to go but up. Reading this article, I was brought back to the sports writers on my high school newspaper of which I was a staffmember. Their writing at age 16-18 was far better than anything I read today or yesterday or the day before in the high school section. Do these people research at all or do they just go by someone else's opinion? The information I get on this site is is FAR more reliable than the Chronicle's PAID writers. I'm about ready to cancel my subscription - it is just too subpar (along with too liberal/leftist to begin with as a company). I know "it's only high school" but put some effort into it. Don't just use last year's information - it might come back to bite you.

I know Khan is a Falls graduate but that doesn't excuse him from getting the facts and writing the facts. Just sloppy journalism if you ask me.

Maybe some of the problem lies with the sports editor? Seems that would catch a few mistakes like Ridge coming in 3rd and 8th and Springs not being listed.:rolleyes:

I have to stand corrected - LC did only win 3 games last year. I had them confused with Morton Ranch (and we don't want to do that these days I know!). I don't know how I confused the two at all. And after the beating LC gave us, I just thought they had a better record. So that part is correct in the Chronicle.

Why? Because they don't have your Bearkats at the top of the district?

The only thing funny about the 13-5A preview, to me, was the fact they list Westfield as 2nd in the district, but then Todd Hveem does an article later in the week that says that Westfield was predicted 3rd.

But, considering I've seen the Ponies anywhere from 2nd (DCTF and Chron) to 5th (5ATF) and even a 6th (rodjohns), it looks like a good year to be watching from the sideline or press box.
