if you have been watching the Carolina Panthers lately, i have been noticing more and more that Tre Newton runs just like Deshaun Foster, they both have long arms to stiff arm and they both wont go down by arm tackles.
Anyone else think so?

Come on guys, Newton is nowhere looking like Foster or and other pro running back. I know you guys are proud of your team as you should, but sometimes you guys go a little left on bragging.:)

nowhere did he say tre was a pro caliber running back. he just said that in terms of his running style, and the way in which he runs is what reminds him of tre. im sure you are all very tired of the slc worshipping, but we're also very tired of being accused of bragging and gloating

I guess the 175 yards against Katy were a fluke....he has 2 more years to go..maybe he'll be worthy by then....Of course he's not a pro..he's a sophomore in high school!

Good question! Maybe Nate was a speedster when he was younger..I think Nate was quoted as saying "he was only fast to the dinner table"..

Tre' has alot of growing to do.
Let's see if he can put on 10-15 lbs this off-season. If he gets up to 195-ish by the start of his JR year, look out...

Let's wait and see how he does next season before we start comparing him to Foster. As I've posted before, the landscape will be different for Tre next year. If he grows some and continues to improve on the END of last season, he will be a good one to watch.

I hope that Tre remains healthy, I heard he has had concussions. look out for his safety.

if he bulks up a little more, that will improve his strength and durability to take hits.

he runs behind a good Oline what do you expect? I would like to see him playing behind a average line to see if he really is good. I think if Bradley or Whittaker ran behind SC line they would be unstopable.

next year they will be replacing all 5 starters and do not have a single lineman that got significant playing time on varsity last year. Should be interesting.

Your right, he probably did'nt deserve the 175 yards in the title game..I mean he did run behind a great offensive line..& it was just Katy...he should probably give back the soph of the year award also...

Nobody is unstoppable.. :) If you really think Tre' won't be a top 5 back in the state for '08, then you're out of touch...
We're talking about a kid who's almost a 4* shoe in, and maybe a 5* kid if things go his way this season..
