30 years late, but my man is in there. I got choked up listening to Roger Staubach on the induction of Bob in his rightful place in the HOF.
As Roger mentioned, the man completely changed the game in the late 60's, and ushered in the speedy wr.

I'll say it again - in Texas in the late 60's - you rarely, if ever picked or were given the number 22 unless you were extra fast.

This. Hayes would field punts in his end zone and return them. Even more amazing is Landry let him. He was great. Long overdue. I haven't seen it yet, but I am sure I will get choked up as well.
There have been very few players to dawn NFL jerseys that changed the way the game was played and no dount Bullet Bob was one of them, along with LT, Pete Gogolak as well as coaches like Paul Brown, Tom Landry, Don Coryell and Bill Walsh.
This is long overdue and its a shame the man couldn't be with us today to put on the gold HOF jacket and stand among his rightful place with the greats of all time.

Bullet Bob is also a reminder to all of us how important it is to make good choices. Bob made a few bad choices and it really cost him. I remember in the early 90's that Bob was living a couple of doors down from a friend on mine in Coppell. I would go over to my friends to watch Monday Night Football and we would end talking about Bob. I would notice him just standing out in from of his condo/apartment. It was sad when I thought of all the Cowboy games... I am glad he put his life back together before he died and is now in the HOF. He was a joy to watch.
