That is happy to see the New England Patriots, a.ka. the most classless team in the league, fall like they did? I enjoyed every single minute of it (i could only watch the second half). I love the "team chemistry" I saw on the sidelines when I saw McGinest pushing one of his teammates around.
Bye-bye Pats!

Anytime a good team plays poorly, like the Pats did against the Broncos, there will be a player or 2 that will lose their composure. I picked the Pats in the poll because Tom Brady was 10-0 in postseason games, plus I thought the Broncos would choke. Turned out, the Pats choked. I should be rooting for the Broncos since they play in the AFC West (my favorite division) but I'm usually rooting against them during the regular season, depending on the AFC West standings. I'm sure the Broncos will be pulling for the Steelers tomorrow so they can play at Mile High next week.

Jake Plummer had an excellent game, and of course, denver was able to run the football.. D didn't look too shabby either..

Sean Taylor spits in a guy's face.......and Tom Brady and the Pats are classless?
Once again......aggy logic.
And I thought we decided we wouldn't use the words "class" or "classless" on this board again. Did you not get the memo or what?

I was glad to see them lose. Had no problems with it at all. As far as the classlessness (is that a word?) of the team? I guess one could call it that. I also think it's just heat of the moment and getting spanked a Mile in the air..:)

i rooted for the pats....i was thinking..when ever they won the superbowl (starting in 02) the dragons won state..when they didnt make the playoffs the dragons didnt..then the pats won 2 stragiht then the dragons did as well..
i dont know if this means anything but heck just a thought..

I was pulling for the Pats, but they handed this one to the broncos like the refs tried to hand the colts a win. They couldn't keep control of the ball to save their lives or that game.

Don't worry, coincidences like that end. Spurs won in 99 and 03 and Judson didn't make the football playoffs those two years. The Spurs won again in 05, and here come the Rockets, 6-4 SQUEKING into the playoffs.
SLC can win even though NE lost. Don't worry :)
AND- The Dallas Cowboys won superbowls in the 92-93 season, the 93-94 season and the 95-96 season. The Rockets won state in 92, 93, and 95.
LOL. THE BUFFALO BILLS LOST 4 SUPERBOWLS IN A ROW. Thats hilarious.

I was personally happy to see the Pats lose. I was getting sick and tired of hearing how that team was a dynasty and one of the best in history, in a league of orchestrated parity. The Pats couldn't hold a candle to the best teams, and I'm old enough to have seen most of them.
No Pats, Colts, Deadskins, Beagles, Gints, 49ers, or Vikings in "Da Bowl"......it don't get any better than that.

So called dynasty?
Dude they won the Super Bowl 3 out of 4 years.
I don't like them either...but 3 out of 4 is a dynasty.
Now USC.................. = false dynasty. 34 straight wins...and one trophy.

They have 2 NC's wide. I thought we discussed this. It is College football's fault not USC that they do not have a clear champ every year. I think most agree that USC would have beat LSU. Again, I hate USC but they were a dynasty according to college football.

They deserve a piece of the title yall are crazy. They won 2 titles in 3 years no matter if yall want to accept it or not. Go back to the majority of college champs and there was almost always another team or two that could say they were the champ. Again, it is college football's fault not USC. I guarantee if it was the other way around and UT won a split championship they would be counting it. You would be dumb not to. I mean they are 48-4 in the last 4 years with 2 titles and have finished either #1 or #2 for 4 straight years. If that is not considered a dynasty in college football then there is no such thing.

It is USC's fault. They were not in the top two in the BCS, which is the system that they signed off on to choose the national champion. They did not win ever single one of there games. If they were undefeated, they could have a case. They were not and therefore do not have a claim to it.

And LSU lost 1 game that year also. So does that mean there was no national champ that year? The only way you can win a championship is without a loss?? It was the system they signed off on but their was still a flaw or they could have not been voted #1 along with LSU. It was still possible to have 2 number 1's because the system was still flawed. They have fixed that since. It was the NCAA fault not USC's. Again, i hate USC

LSU and Oklahoma were the top two in the BCS. All of the schools in the BCS accepted that the top two teams in the BCS standing would play for the national championship. USC controlled their own destiny and were not at the top of the BCS at the end of the season.

The NCAA does not recognize a national champion in Division 1 football. I remember reading and listening to Texas fans before the Sugar bowl saying how if OU beat LSU then they would not be a true national champion. Now that their is controversy over this its funny how some Texas fans have gone back on that statement.
The fact remains that the national championship in division 1 football wil remain a mythical national championship until a true playoff is structured.

the national champion in college football is chosen by having the top two teams in the BCS standings playing a championship football game. Like it or not every single school accepted this method of choosing a champion including USC. They were not national champions in 2003. LSU was the national champion because they won the national championship game.

Like it or not every single school accepted this method of choosing a champion including USC. They were not national champions in 2003. LSU was the national champion because they won the national championship game.
Thus creating the term mythical. It was almost unanimous that USC was the number 1 team in both the human polls. USC was awarded the AP national championship which was and still is the most respected poll in college football. It has never been a true national championship in college football, USC has just as much cliam to a national title as LSU does in 2003. If it were OU that had won that game in 2003 all the Texas fans would be using the same argument I am right now.
Your argument of every school accepting this as a true national champion is weak at best. Go ask all the D1 coaches and they will tell you they had nothing to do with it and hate it. The fact is they were just as much national champs in 2003 as LSU. In college football it is laughable to call the BCS championship game a national championship game until some type of playoff is created. It will always remain mythical until the NCAA decides to initiate a playoff. Its kind of hard to say team A is national champion of NCAA division 1 football when the NCAA itself does not even recoginize them as champs.
That is why the media pulled itself from the BCS, because it was crap then and is still crap now. Its funny now that the horns have finally won a championship the BCS is the recognized champion but when you guys were getting screwed by the BCS all you heard about was how the BCS sucks and how can OU be playing for a BCS championship game, its funny how had the Sooners won that year every Texas fan was ready to crown USC national champs because of the AP poll.
