ACU's Bernard Scott (Vernon, TX) is turning heads at the Bengals camp. A third round talent that dropped to six because of off the field issue. Carson Palmer has declared him the most impressive rookie of the first week of camp. This jibes with all we have heard about him over the summer. Look for two Texas rbs to be 1 and 2 on Cincy's depth chart, with Cedric Benson (Midland Lee, UT) starting and Scott getting a firm grip on the second spot.

ACU WR Johnny Knox is also expected to contribute for the Chicago Bears. The Bears will have two Wildcats on the roster in starting safety Daneial Manning and Knox.

Great news! Bernard is the most impressive rb I've seen in person in a long while. His slip move from inside tackle to the outside is unreal. You still have the Reggie Bush size concern, but he can play.

At 5-10, 200 lb, the article mentions that he is the same size as Chris Johnson. I actually am not too worried about his ability to take a pounding. Cincy needs him returning punts and coming in when they want a change of pace from Ced's bruising style. He can have a long career in those roles.

It sounds, too, like his head has been on straight for a while. There is no joking about his ability.

I saw Bernard play when he was at Vernon. I remember my cousin being with me and, he said that he thought Bernard would be in the league one day. Well, here he is!

Good luck Bernard!
