Missouri is getting WAY to many votes.
I even have them going 5-7. Losing to Illinois, UNR, Oklahoma State, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas.

Maybe only Okie State. The Big XII is not going to have another year like last year. I predict a south champion going undefeated and playing for the MNC, a north champ with two or more losses, and maybe one other BCS contender, probably the south. I think there will be a real pecking order in the league, with only OSU having the capacity to be a real surprise and challenge for a title:
1. Texas/OU (slight edge Texas)
2. OSU
3. Nebraska (with a two losses)
4. Kansas/Texas Tech/Baylor/Mizzou
6. Everyone else

Michigan = Troy? Wow, that's funny and sad.
Okie State might be low, but they have a couple of things going against them. When the chips have been on the table they have not come up with the win. Look at last year's bowl game.
Add in what Tech did last year, and I am sure there are some Big XII doubters out there. May not be deserved but it's there.

tech is about right, if not, too high, IMO.
There are too many questions right now for the Red Raiders to warrant a top25 billing. By no means am I saying it CANNOT happen. I am just suggesting that there are as many things that could go wrong this season for Tech, as go right.

The Big East gets exactly zero love...Not one team in that Top 25, that's odd...
LSU is in a nice spot if we play some ball this year....Playing Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia something gonna happen....

Don't worry, a Big East team will backdoor their way in after a week or two... South Florida should weasel their way in by beating Wofford, Western Kentucky, and Charleston Southern in their 1st 3 games

USC loses Sanchez, Turner, and essentially an entire defense, outside of Mays! This is the same USC that lost to Oregon State. The Beavers, however, return their best QB (Weaver), RB (Rodgers 1), WR (Rodgers 2), TE (Croom), 3 OL starters (Linnenkohl, Peat, Remmers), and likely a defense that will garner 6 SR's and 5 JR's - along with All-Pac 10 fav's like LB-Kristick! A no brainer, right? Wrong! USC is ranked 4th, while Oregon State is ranked 25th!
Then you have Oklahoma State ahead of Oregon - who just beat the Cowboys in December! Boise State - who went 12-1, last year, and beat Oregon - is ranked 16th, while Penn State - who was humiliated by USC - is ranked in the Top 10. Ohio State is ranked ahead them! Georgia is ahead of GT, even seeing Stafford and Moreno leave!
Btw... why in the pure ^$)@ is Notre Dame in the Top 25??? Someone will honestly tell me that they're better than Boston College, Kansas, Michigan State, and Northwestern?!

I agree...USC is too high...
Penn State, Georgia, Notre Dame and Nebraska are all suprises to me.
Penn State to high.
Georgia to high.
Notre Dame and Nebraska shouldn't be on there, not this early.

nebraska will be great if their QB pans out.
If not, they might be 7-5.

I think Nebraska will win the North, they have an easier conference schedule than Kansas. I think they are ranked about right and quite possibly could move up if, like you say, their qb pans out.

IMO, the Big East doesn't deserve to have a team ranked right now. You'll probably see a team creep into the poll though after a week or two though. Just goes to show that the coaches or people filling in the poll for the coaches have no respect for that conference. I don't see how the BCS can keep giving the Big East an automatic bid and deny the Mountain West when they are a better conference, imo.

The Little East has lived off a few years of brilliance from Louisville (until Petrino left), Rutgers (until Rice left), and WVU (until White left). Now, they have Cincinnati (who was good last year, but likely wont be this year), and South Florida (led by possibly the best DE in the Nation, and Matt "INT" Grothe). Syracuse was pretty good, for a while, and UConn could become some sort of solid challenger, but I still don't buy completely into this conference. WVU will NOT return to glory Post-RR/White, and neither will LU, Rutgers, and Syracuse.. due mainly to recruiting. I could see South Florida switching places with Boston College, to enter the ACC - sending BC to the Big East. Never-the-less, this conference essentially pales in comparison to the MWC, but not by a ton. MWC has years where they seem strong, but folds at the end.
I'd like to see a pre-season match-off between the two conferences to decide for a pre-determined spot in the BCS. Allow each conference to vote on who will represent the conference, during the off-season, and set up a game. For example, this past off-season would likely see the coaches of the Little East voting South Florida as the favorite to represent their conference in the Pre-Season. The MWC would likely choose TCU as the team to represent their conference. Therefore, South Florida and TCU would play to decide which conference receives an automatic bid for the Big East.
No real surprises that I can see so far, maybe Nebraska.

Alabama may be a little too high in the beginning poll.......
TCU, a tad bit low........
USC positioned again to sneek into the title game
OU, like last year, will choke
Texas must win in Dallas, but won't this time
Boise State will whine
fire away........
