I'm sure the military guys all remember the USO-sponsored visits they do overseas. I see all the people who come through Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan since we work in the Passenger Terminal building. We've had quite a few lightly-known bands and a few sports guys in here so far. Niki Barr may do a few things on the rock market in upcoming years and we had a cool country guy in here for New Year's that was nice to talk to. Two of the boxers from Stallone's Contenders show were here last week. Billy Blanks (the fitness guy) was in here earlier watching the UT-Villanova game and he's back watching the Broncos game now.

I know this is off topic.... but... how does one start from being an ordinary citizen... to an army ranger? What are the steps one must take in order to be a ranger? how much time does it take? what are the qualifications needed?

I wish I would've seen that. Let me guess, it was during mandatory fitness the day after your drinkfest!:D

You have to be borderline crazy........eat bugs and all that crap.
My only regret is that I didnt go Airborne.....I was too Chicken and settled for Air Assult school. I spent most of my time in Korea as Lt.Cnl's Driver and OPPFOR......it was a gravy job. Many nights down range with OB and Soju.
Maybe Lonny can help me out with the spellings....I know he knows what I'm talking about. One night I was in Itaewon staying at the Dragon Hill.....we decided to go down town to "Hooker Hill"....if you're ever in Seoul you'll know why they call it that....the little "Oujima's"(sp)....or old women pimps get following me saying she had pretty ladies for me........as I joke I thought I would turn around and talk to her....my buddies full of Soju...kept walking...The oujima asked me what kind of girls did I like...as a joke...I asked her did she have any 8 year old boys(This was 94, before Jako was exposed)....she didnt find it funny and grabbed my hand and pulled me to an alley and put a knife to my throat...I began to scream....uhhh....I mean Whistle for my boys to come help me and the next thing you know...we have an army of angry hookers throwing shoes at us....and for some reasons the Mp's arrested us.....Story has no point...just wanted to get it off my chest.
