It's spelled LUFKIN. There will definately be some changes to 14-5A. As you have already said, Lufkin may be moving or they may get to stay where they are, while Huntsville is moving back down to 4A. I think the Klein, Spring and Humble districts will merge together in a new district in Region III. That will give them a 9 team district. Then Lufkin will merge with the Conroe ISD, Bryan and A&M Consolidated ISD's to form a new 7 team district in Region II. This district may still be called 14-5A .

The two district would lineup like this:

Klein, Klein Collins, Klein Oak, Klein Forest, Spring, Spring Westfield, Humble, Humble Kingwood and Humble Atascosita.

Lufkin, The Woodlands, TW College Park, Conroe, Conroe Oakridge, A&M Consolidated and Bryan.

If they don't do that, I hope they put Lufkin up north with the Longview, Tyler and Mesquite schools.

Don't want any part of the golden triangle area for several reasons, that would be the worst fit of all the probabilities for Lufkin.

The fact still remains that Lufkin is a wandering nomad in 5A right now because there are only 4 5A teams in all of East Texas. The UIL is in a dilemma on how and where to place us.

This is only alot of guessing and something to talk about until February, when we will all find out the real deal from the UIL.
