Why is the media consumed with this ridiculous story?

If he can pound beers all day...get out there and ski....and still kick everybody's ***...........Why are we bashing him?

We should celebrate his greatness...Ever try to ski sober? Think about doing it drunk at 10X the speed......

If he can do that drunk and still win....he is freakin' awesome.

I know... I dont understand what all the hype is all about. If he is wasted and still kills everyone, why does it really matter? It would be completely different if he was getting blow away by the competition, but he isnt... just let the man do what he wants...

soon they will test for alcohol and name it a banned substance, but until then he should be able to be drunk in an individual sport.

What if you were one of the other skiers? You would be like " I trained all year and got my ARSE handed to me by a drunk guy".....You'd be pissed too. That's like Wide getting up in the morning and winning the Boston Marathon.
"Mr. Wide, you must have done a lot of training....." "Training?....I did a 12 pack on the way here"....lol......Next thing you know....BEER will be on the ban substance list.....or everyone would start running drunk

a drunk man is probably one of the last people i'd wanted representing this country.....and yes, i know, he doesn't want to represent this country anyway.

If he can ski that well drunk, imagine what he could do sober. Doesn't send the best message to the kids out there, and Miller is a hero to just about any young person that participates in winter sports right now.

I'm concerned that other's will try to ski drunk and get hurt. It's not a good idea to do that before a competition.

Wide, I think they talk about it because they feel like they have to be harsh to be taken as serious journalists. Have you ever noticed the media guys don't criticize the sport they're covering, though? They don't bite the hand that feeds them, but the SportsCenter-type guys will bash in a heartbeat.

With a last name like Miller...why are we shocked?
It's like his destiny and stuff...

There is no law against drinking and skiing

There could be... It would depend on what the local laws are...
Someplaces you cant mow you yard with a rider and drink a beer because it is considered dui...

I agree....Mickey Mantle,John F. Kennedy,Jim Thorpe, and Buzz Aldrin were all terrible representatives of our fine nation.

Don't kid yourself.....this country was founded and developed by a bunch of drunk guys.

If public figures tell the truth, they get in trouble for it. So many people want to put down those at the top. Is skiing hungover stupid...yes! Does it make him a bad person...no!

I just watched the Men's (very loose term here) finals in the National Figure Skating competition - they MUST have been drunk to have picked out some of those outfits:cool: Nevertheless, I am a winter olympics junkie - I will watch every single minute if given the opportunity - and I hope they don't screw Bode out of competing for something that stupid. GO USA!!

When the Olympics (both winter & summer) roll around, I watch sports that I never watch otherwise. Have to admit I'm a real homer.
I doubt if the U.S. ski federation will keep Bode out. They want the medals!

No.. It was not anywhere in Texas..haha.. It was up in Michigan or something in that area. I can't find the news story anywhere. I had the link saved, but I've changed my computer around and all that info is on the old harddrive. The one I haven't trasferred material from yet...:(
