Good for him!

I hope he takes full advantage of this op and rewrites the ending of his story.

I guess TO's barking paid off.

Which group was comprised of more losers? The PETA folks, or those that took off work to put on their No. 7 jersey to "support" Mike?

seeing as how he had very limited qb skills before this little vacation, i doubt he'll have much to offer. whoever signs him should get a good wildcat qb for the league minimum.

I thought TO wanted no suspension though...

and Rapture- that would be quite interesting indeed if Iron Mike took a shot on Mike Vick. That might be just the right kind of "tough love" environment to help Vick succeed.

Did I miss something? He won more PO games than Romo ever did with a much less talented supporting cast. Say what you will about Vick's off-field stuff, but on the field, he is very tough to defend.

In a PLAYOFF game, which Va Tech, nor any other DI school is not eligible for

7 professional defenders would have tackled any other QB in the League on this play...

I was in Las Vegas that weekend and the sportsbook at Caesars erupted when Vick took off.

I say split him out wide, send him deep, and tell whoever is playing QB to throw it as far as he can.

Yep! Terrell said that since Mike served time behind bars, that he shouldn't be suspended.

And, Singletary could very well be what he needs.

OK, but I'd rather talk about his on the field stuff.

His pass completion percentage over the time he was in the NFL, was the 2nd lowest in the league.

For all his sick talent and skills, he was not and will never be a top flight NFL QB who can take a team to the SB...he needs to change position to maximize the skills he does have....which are not QB skills.

Terrell also said something to the effect of, "The man has suffered enough".

Really.....oh really......last time I checked his "suffering" was brought on by his own actions.....actions he lied about, time and time again, to the press, his fans, his coach, his teammates, all of the law enforcement officials, and numerous times to the league commisioner.

I have no pity for this habitual liar of a man.....what he gets, he gets....."what ye reap, so shall ye sow".

I hope Vick takes advantage of the opportunity being given to him and stays out of trouble.

I think he could be a helluva slash player this year. Play him at Wildcat QB, WR, RB, KR/PR. He probably needs a season back before a team is ready to take a chance on him being a full time qb, but someone will take a chance on him most likely.

15Adragon

I wish him the best in life and by that I mean life off the field. His chances of success on the field are greatly dimished, but I hope that he does put his life back together.

you may get the chance. so far the rumored interest in your guy is minimal. maybe minnesota will come calling now that they have a free spot. they could have 3 bad qbs failing instead of 2.

Jerry really should take a look at signing him. Far as I can tell, they don't have a real good distraction on the roster yet this year.
Bennett is kinda stepping up as one, but I'm not convinced he can muster up the required negative hoopla.

Vick is definitely a better athlete but, he's not a better QB. It's just that Vick can hurt you so much with his feet. But, I've also seen games where Vick has gotten sacked 4 or 5 times, although, it wasn't many times that it's happened. Only, 3 or 4 times.

I'm interested to see where he ends up!

thats not true! the last 2yrs he was in the league maybe, but not the whole time he was in the league. if that was the case he wouldnt have been one of the richest QB's in league history much less a starter. plus, he can be a top flight QB. he has the arm, the smarts, and the talent. h ejust needs a new team and system. i seen to many times how he can play, run and throw. just needs a new home.

generally, a fifth year player has improvement from 3-5, not worsening. maybe he has honed/created a skill set he kept well hidden. if he thinks his legs will be his forte, don't expect him to play much. i can't think of a pure runner at qb in a super bowl, but then i am old and may have forgotten.

I've heard somewhere that ST Louis was looking at signing him. But, I can't find a reliable online source anywhere. Anyone heard anything?

I'm a Rams fan, and would love to see him go to St. Louis simply because the team hasn't been worth a pile of rat dung the last few years. Would like to see a QB who could step in and run from the dogs chasing him (no pun intended)

Anyway, Vick was at his best when he was throwing on the run while rolling out. St. Louis might be a good fit.

MV1 was certainly not a prototypical NFL QB. Still, during his brief stay in the NFL (thus far), he did manage to find his way to 3 Pro Bowl selections. He managed an overall winning record of 38-28-1 and almost single-handedly revived professional football in Atlanta. As I recall, he also managed to pull off a post-season playoff win at Lambeau Field against the Packers and that is a sufficiently rare achievement. His overall professional playoff record stands at 2-2. I would not put him in the category of a Steve Young, but he was also quite a bit better than simply a sideshow. The question is can he still pull off the magic with his legs after an extended absense? I have to admit that I would like to find out the answer.

He used to tear St Louis apart... I remember him running for a ton the last couple times we played against him. Wonder if he'll remember that and not sign with them as he knows they have had a bad defense!

The pocket passer situation is not a good one for the Rams. That's why I'd like to see them bring in a scrambler and test him out. Not like I'm looking for them to go better than 2-14 anyways.

Well, that's why they play the games. Nobody saw the Falcons doing what they did before last season started. How about the Cardinals making the Super Bowl at 9-7?

We'll just have to see what happens!

I do not believe that one. It would be a huge mistake. If we need help it is in the secondary and we can always use another lineman for depth. We have 3 RB's and 2 TE's that should be allow us to do a lot of different things. As I have said before it would be in MV's best interest to go to a team with a lot less visibility. It is not a good fit for Dallas or Vick.
