6. 22-5A- This will be a district that has to have West Brook and Port Arthur plus Baytown Lee and Baytown Sterling. So those are four set teams. Figure that Spring ISD will not be back in this district. So you have left on the board North Shore, Channelview, Lufkin, Humble ISD, or possibly Aldine ISD. No other schools are in this are geographically. You have to figure that Channelview and North Shore should also go in this district because they are on the far east side of town and just have to drive down I-10 to get to Beaumont. So you have six schools with Lee, Sterling, Memorial, West Brook, Channelview and North Shore. At least one more team needs to be added from Humble ISD, Lufkin or Aldine ISD. Aldine ISD gives you a 10 team district and leaves only one district with more than seven teams and looking at the rest of the field it does not look possible. So it either has to be Humble ISD schools or Lufkin. Once again Humble in the district causes problems elsewhere. So it should be Lufkin.

Lufkin vs. N. Shore every year would be an awesome game. Speed, speed, speed...it would be a track meet.

That would be the district championship prolly, BUT North Shore has a history of getting beat in P.A.

I dont think NS would like having us in the district.

Scooter if it meant having to actually put forth a real effort to pull out a win I have a feeling Coach Aymond and troops would relish it. Speaking purely as a fan I know how hard it has been for myself to set through some of the games I have over the last four or five years. I can only imagine what it must be like for the players especially if you are starter. Knowign your not going to see the fourth quarter until playoff time has got to be kind of disappointing.

The time we spent in the old 22-5A was some of the best football we have ever played. You always knew Lee, Westbrook, and TJ were going to give you all they had and on occassion had what it took to beat you. And if Lufkin is to be thrown in the mix well could be a game to finally validate just what kind of program North Shore really is for those out there who still doubt us.

Nope ...we don't want it. Most of us would like to see Lufkin meet North Shore but we don't want in 22-5A.

sounds like a very interesting district to me....there would be some tough, hard-hitting district games...........how about take Lee, PAM, Lufkin, and NS, play a double round robin, and see who would be still alive and able to compete in the playoffs.......hmmmmm?? where have i heard that before????...seriously, that would be one of the top districts in the state, IMHO..................

Scooter the University of North Shore always has talent coming back as well as talent coming up. The biggest question marks in my book would have to be at the quarterback and wide reciever positions. Granted the little playing time the back up quarteback got last year we have two that will probably split tiem ro fight for the job that look to be the typical North Shore quarterback. Another words they can both run pretty good and aren't bad throwing the ball. And as we always seem to do it shouldn't be too hard to find a reciever that can go get the ball when needed.

As for Channelview they are best know for their basketball teams and other sports than their football team.

North Shore will be in better shape going into the 06 season than they were a year ago as far as returning experience. Vance Fizer (6'2 200) will probably be the new QB and I like what I saw of him last year. Fizer has been on varsity since his sophomore year and waited in the wings. Of course, the RB unit will be led by burner Chris Ganious. Ganious has amazing speed. Shore have three runners back who lettered last year including Ganious. WR and DB need to be reloaded, but I can't remember the last time Shore was void of skill talent.
