I'm liking this alot. Not because i have anything against Georgia, but it should be a wake up call to these college coaches that they are dealing with people, not just resources...

I'm assuming this kid is a senior to be? I like the move by the coach, but I also hope he doesn't make it a habit.

Coach Outlaw is pretty straightforward with any coach - doesn't matter the level or name. He wants advanced notice, and he's not going to bow down and kiss your feet because you show up.

Having said that - it is a two-way street. Lufkin has had a few lately that ended up being bad picks - i.e. Leonard Hewitt not bothering to graduate from HS - so, I think open and friendly communication goes along way.

Good for the Carver coach and double kudos to DE Corey Crawford for backing out on his intentions to give the Dawgs a commitment and look elsewhere. I know Richt has torn up the recruiting scene in Florida this year, I believe he has something like 6 or 7 out of 18 early pledges from the Orange Juice state. It also looks like Carver has sent quite a few kids to D1 schols the past few years with another loaded class this year. UGA currently dooes not have any Carver kids on their roster. This could be big news for Chizik at Auburn since the Plains are closer to Columbus then Athens is.

Is that meant to be some kind of insult towards Auburn or A&M?

I remember Carver, GA had a stud LB (Jarvis Jones) last year that went out West (USC)...

Corey Crawford has plenty of offers as well...Crawford wants an LSU and USC offer, but I'm sure Chizik is licking his chops...

I believe Carver sent kids to Ole Miss, Okie St, Arizona St and Ga Southern as well. Carver head football coach Dell McGee is a former Auburn player himself. Chizik gotten off to a pretty good start recruiting last year and should be interesting to see what he can do this year as well.
