How did Michael Morgan and Brandon Antwine fail to make the first team all area defense????????? Both of them are ranked nationally and are ranked in the top 5 at there position nationally but yet could not manage to find there names on the first team all area team???? Can anyone explain this???? Morgan is looking at USC, OU, and FSU and Antwine has commited to Florida. It's something that has been bothering me a little bit.

Yea great point since i was talking about Mike Morgan as well... glad to see your back though after you had to sit and wait till all us playoff teams were done while you losers were mourning another losing season of many to come.

Actually, Rough, I agree with you, all kidding aside. Antwine wouldn't be on my all area team, and possibly not my all district team. Too many key plays when he was on the bench. Regularly, teams would score when he was out of the lineup staying "fresh". Your big dog doesn't take plays off, especially when the other team is driving the ball. Our offense wasn't prolific enough for the defense to give away TD's to the other team so Antwine could powder his nose. I hope Florida has some kind of an idea how to light a fire under his butt, or he will be a major dissappointment there.

WOW go owls i usually agree with all of your posts but this one is rediculous. Your gonna tell me you wouldnt put a guy on your all district team that as a dt had 72 tackles and 8 sackes and 20 tackles for losses hmmm yea i guess he is not a very good player a 4 star recruit to the best recruiting class so far this year at florida. The copperas cove coach actually called him the best dt he has ever seen in his coaching days and got his autograph after the game. But i guess a guy who is the number one dt prospect in the state of texas doesn't deserve to be all area:rolleyes:

If he had taken 90% or more of the defensive snaps instead of the 40-50% he took, he would have had 140 tackles, 20 sacks, and 40 tackles for losses, and many would have come in games that we lost in close games or fought very hard to win and we shouldn't have had to fight that hard with the talent level we had.

I understand the coaches theory on rotating, and in uneven contests, I have no problem with it, but in close games, there is no way Antwine and some of the others come off the field in critical situations, especially with the other team driving to a TD.

For those who would bring up the fatigue issue, I counter with Celina who had 5 players who played both ways and took every snap in their games, special teams too. What'cha wanna bet those boys don't get a free ride to a D1 school. If they can do it, Antwine SHOULD have been in good enough shape to do it too, at least all the defensive snaps, and it was plain to see, with all the times he took himself out of the games, that he WAS NOT IN GAME SHAPE ALL YEAR, period. Anybody who is gonna be on my all area or district team can play the whole game, especially with the game on the line.

Antwine was a nice part-time player.

O ok i see what you mean now thanks for the explanation, and yes i have no clue why antwine did not play all the snaps and even maybe some offensive line some at quick guard he does run a 4.6 but idk.
