Joseph Duarte (Chron writer) broke a story this morning that VY is going pro and is expected to announce that decision at 3 pm today officially. ESPN is also reporting VY to the NFL.
The Texans' worst nightmare is coming true since they've fully committed to drafting Bush no matter what Vince does. Whether it's right or not, this will polarize their fan base and will be met with a very mixed reaction in my opinion.
Furthermore, Tennessee has the 3rd pick and this is where most think VY will go so he can further learn from his godfather Steve McNair. McNair needs to resign with the Titans and will probably do so if they commit to Young at the 3rd spot as long as the top two go as expected (1. Bush- Houston, 2. Leinart- New Orleans).
Tennessee would obviously be the best situation for him given he could go to a much more stable franchise than Houston/New Orleans and learn the ropes from his godfather.
It's also being reported VY will hire the same agent as McNair and Brett Favre, Bus Cook.

Just an added note...the irony will be almost too much to handle if VY goes to the Titans. :D

I hope he doesn't go to the Titans. I think it's stupid for the Texans to not take him. He carried his team to two Rose Bowl wins and you don't get those QB's every day.

Unfortunately, Casserly didn't get fired along with Capers and he's the one calling the shots on the people brought into Houston. Right now, all signs point to Bush for the Texans but a lot can happen between now and April.
None of my friends (myself included) think it would be wise to pass on Vince. None of the people I've heard call in to 610 do either. They run the risk of polarizing the city with their pick.
I'll be an instant fan of whichever franchise gets him.

just because young did so well in college does not mean he will do well in the nfl. take ryan leaf for example. amazing in college and then got to the nfl and was a complete bust. he might succeed and he might not.

You have to be a total idiot to not see that VY has "IT" - he will make it in the NFL - I just hope it's with the Texans. His High School coach, Ray Seals, said in an interview the other day - that if a any NFL GM does not see it - then they should look for another job. (or something to that effect?).

Texans have already said they are taking Reggie Bush regardless. So unless they do a 180 Vince Won't be in Houston.

Hey - he just announced today. Things can change. A major factor in him coming out is the possibility of getting picked by the hometown team. No disrespect the the Siants - but - come on - would I want to go there. NOOOOOO. There is something going on we do not know about.
Bob McNair - has shown me he is an intelligent man. He know this is big for this franchise, city and to the fans. Can you imagine the sales for the #10 jersey!

Heaven forbid. - If that happens. I will revert my loyalties back to the Oilers/Titans.
If the Texas do not pick VY - it will be the biggest mistake in franchise history for years and years to come.
