How Far Will They Goo?

It all depends on how well the coaches integrate the goo into the gameplan...

'07,

Just like Carroll, Allen has a lot of holes to fill.

From what i remember there are no upperclassmen that are receivers.

Allen has a great running back in Charles O. It was truly a bummer that he got hurt at the end of the season.

Defense?

There won't be one from what is coming back.

I see it as a pretty lean year coming up.

I could be wrong, but it should be a pretty long year.

Don't take this the wrong way. I am in no way trying to put down Allen.
How can it be a lean year when you have the resources to draw from that you guys do? You have one of the biggest advantages in the state being a 1 school town with a enrollment over 4000. This is purely my opinion, but there should never be a long year in a community like Allen. You guys have the best of all worlds and should be competing for championships every year.
Is the talent to draw from that scarce?

Jtate,

You crack me up.

Are you really that defensive about Carroll?

If you read what I wrote . . . . I was stating that BOTH schools had a lot of slots to fill. If that offends you in some way . . . . . counseling would be good.

Farmerfan,

This next year Love Joy High School will be opening. I'm not sure how many kids this will be taking away from Allen, but in past years there have been quite a few of the players that WOULD be gone if they were still here.

I appreciate the size of the student body in your question about the talent pool. I would also think that there would be a lot of quality there as well. But, if Allen has TWICE the student body as say, Carroll(for Jtate), why do they not have the "talent" that Carroll does? OR, is that where coaching makes the difference?

The outstanding players from this last year ALL will graduate in May. I cannot think of anyone that I can think of that will make an impact next year.

Eagle Fans please help me out here if I am in err!

I never knew they were opening up a new high school. I thought they were going to remain a one school town for a while. That explains why there may be somewhat of a dropoff in talent.

first of all the defense will have :
cody gambile, chima nwachagu(who is on texas preps top 20 saftys) 3/4s of our d line from last year, and a very good corner in brandon gay who was originaly saposed to start this year but got injured during springball, also chris castro who played safty but can easily be a great corner, and a little better linebacker squad then last year not even mensioning the jv talent coming up,

then offense:
oline- a very strong and quick o line the stars will probably be hong and marshall. (both huge and vvverrrrryyyyy strong) then russ lacock and adam southern and travis sewal.
recievers- we got stephen payne, dan buckner, ryan moses(alot more mature and smarter) travis pickup and jv talent
running backs- charles O and Matt morrison (both very good)
quarterbacks- nathan dick ( who is going to be awesome) , and then travis pickup ( who did great during dicks injury)

sooo yeah its going to be alot better than last year this 06/07 season is expected to be one of the best allens ever seen.

allen dad were definatly not going to be lean!

Allen is still remaining a one school town. Lovejoy high school will be for the Lucas and Fairview kids that currently go to AHS. If Allen actually did open up another school it would be something like West Allen or whatever.

Lucas and Fairview? where is that? I guess I need to venture out into Collin County more.
What is the projected enrollment of Lovejoy High going to be?

they will be 3a ino that much and the freshmen class of 2007 is going to be the first people to go. and the teachers will be moving up with them.
(i worked for allen isd maintenence over the summer)

and fairveiw is just north of allen between allen and mckinney, and lucas is just east between allen and lake lavon. just preddy much kinda a farm road town.

Lucas and Fairview are 2 small towns that are right next to Allen. I went to Lovejoy elementary when I lived in Lucas and they have their own little ISD apart from Allen and until now they didn't have a high school of their own.
I don't know the exact enrollment but they can't be more than a 3a school next year. However, they are growing very fast.

There's a town between McKinney and Allen? I thought that McKinney and Allen intertwined shows what I know.

The posts on the new school raised my interest so I googled the Lovejoy ISD. It looks like there has been some heated debate over whether to consolidate with Allen or separate into a completely different k-12 ISD. The site mentioned having around 1,000 in the ISD (I think that is all grades - not sure how many intended for the high school). Another story of growing pains.
