Its about time Va Tech started cleaning up its act. I just took the espn poll and the asked "do u agree with the ruling by va tech?"
The response is overwhelimingly in the favor of the univeristy. Not one state was even close to siding with Vick. Kentucky (Louisville plays in Kentucky and that was they were in the bowl game where Vick stepped on that other player), West Virginia, and Virginia itself all overwhelimgly side with with the University.
This is the best college football year ever, people who deserve to lose are finally losing and the good guys are winning (UH in a bowl, Texas natl champs, Joe Pa back to winning).

As sorry as I feel for the situation that Marcus put himself in, Virginia Tech should be applauded for its actions in dealing with this in a prompt matter.

As much as I would like to defend Vick...again!!! I can't do it. I feel sorry for the guy but he did it to himself. Kinda think Michael's money has gone to Marcus's head:rolleyes:

What a blow to the sports media world. They wanted to over-hype this kid just like they have big bro Mike. There's only one team that should draft him and that is Atlanta. Marcus is going to need a baby sitter and big bro Mike is just the one to do it.

Passing wise, he was much better than Michael. He was talented, but they were just getting tired of it.

He announced that he'll enter the draft. I see him as a 5th or 6th round pick to a team that could really use a quarterback and doesnt mind controversy. I think the browns or the raiders are dumb enough to draft him late.
Hes an idiot though because had he stayed at Va Tech, the Hookies would have been a contendor again, the media would have hyped him and slobbered all over him all season and he would have been a heisman contendor. He also would have been a 1st round pick next year. His finical security would have been assured even if he busts (which i can easily see him doing now, you know he just pulled a maurice clarette). Marcus is probably gonna be spending the rest of his life living off mike and regreting everything he did at va tech.

A bit of a stretch there - but I think Stephen will be good next year - so will Graham Herrell at Tech.
I couldn't believe the replay. He stomped on the guys leg intentionally. Glad Va. Tech had the gonads to take action. How would he react if that happened to him?

This was an accumulation of much more. A few days earlier he was ticketed for speeding (going 38 in a 25) - not a big deal, except he already had a suspended license.
He was told after the pot incident he would be booted if he screwed up again - he did and he was.

Marcus does not have the option to remain as a member of the football team at Virginia Tech. He was dismised from the squad permenantly by the University. He only declared for the draft after he was dismissed.

He'll be a wide reciever.....with the height and speed, he'd make a good reciever in the NFL. He was a good reciever a while back.

If little Vick plays in the NFL next season, he will have a big target on his back. NFL players will remember his cowardly act from the bowl game.

i dont know how many players in the nfl would be out there to "get revenge for louisville." it was very uncalled for and stupid, but nfl players arent going to hit little vick any harder because he did that.

You're right on on two points. He's an idiot and would be the perfect draft choice for the Raiders. I think he should be conscripted into the Marines. Six weeks of boot camp would straighten up his act. Does anyone think he will behave differently in the pros?

I have alot of respect for Va Tech and Coach Beamer after kicking that loser "Vick" off the team. That shows alot of class to can him and show him that he's not the boss of the team because of big bro.
It shows that little Vick thought he was untouchable because of who he's big brother was. I have a feeling that he's going to be an NFL bust also.
He is a classic example of a kid that if it wasnt for sports (and his big bro) he would without a doubt be on his way to prison sooner or later and that probably isnt out of the question yet for him.

Talk about kicking someone when they are down...He is stupid...he is spoiled because of big brother and he needed at least another year in college by most experts before he was ready for the pros all true....but would be in prison??? Slow your roll.

In regards to CLFalcons quote "I think the browns or the raiders are dumb enough to draft him late", you can add the Cowboys to that list. After all, Parcells claims to be the counselor for NFL bad boys. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Cowboys sign T.O. this off season.

I agree with Texasfrog But, Would be in Prison - WILL BE IN PRISON. Your looking at LT and O.J. all rolled into one - just watch. Jason Williams (former NBA star) has nothing on Vick.

Like I said junior. If it wasnt for Sports & and his bigger brother (NFL superstar) the youngster would be probably either be in Prison or on his way.
Hell, the idiot has already done a couple of things that would have some mere mortals behind bars. Having sex with a minor is just one example "right"!!
So yes... if it wasnt for sports or his millionaire NFL brother. Marcus Vick would probably be wearing a different type of uniform.
He's actions over the last couple of years speak alot louder then what you or I can do and his actions very loudly and clearly say "THUG PUNK !!"

Mack Brown this.........Vince Young that..........two players picked up by the cops this..........(nothing happened that)..........Teasippers this.....and ad nauseum reparte by the huddled masses who know nothing but hating on Texas and all things Texas..........Virginia Tech this........USC that.......well, where are you now? Where did all the bloated pontification and inane verbage go to?
The bet here is that you are closet bandwagoners now and went right out to JC Pennys and bought your championship T-shirt that you can proudly wear to the mall where we can't see you, from here. NICE!!
