Louisiana is too easy a target. Two texas teams beat their state champion last year. And the 4A team almost beat them.

I skimmed through some of the thread. I was living in south Louisiana when those Texas/Louisiana games occurred and I don't have any knowledge about the racism comments.

Obviously Texas has more great teams than Louisiana. It's been worse the past couple of years, too. Last year's Evangel team couldn't hold a candle to the Brock Berlin-led ECA teams.

We haven't been producing as many prospects lately and this year doesn't appear to be any different. We're suffering through a mediocre overall period in Louisiana high school football.

Everybody on here has respect for Louisiana teams. I know I've even told you that Louisiana has 4 to 5 teams every year that can play with anyone in Texas and not be pushed around. How do I know this ? I've been to about 10 Louisiana games in person.

I think honestly some people like "Wyatt Earp" need to see a few games in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma before they start letting their little fingers start typing to much on threads. Especially when his debating with people that have seen 100's of games down here and other places. I mean for a dude that openly admits his "NEVER BEEN TO A FOOTBALL GAME DOWN HERE" he sure has alot to say about it.

I guess really that's a sign of the ultimate "RESPECT."

I appreciate the respect, because Louisiana high school is where my passion and knowledge lies.

Hopefully things will improve in 2006.

My overall top five in Louisiana for 2005, regardless of classification is:

1. Evangel (Class A)
2. West Monroe (5A)
3. East St. John (5A)
4. Destrehan (5A)
5. John Curtis (2A)

Seeing that (A) by ECA and that (AA) by John Curtis makes me sick to my stomach !!!! What a joke that is....

you TALK a huge game, but I've never seen you make a relavant comment.

You've seen 1000s of games, I've seen ZERO....I still have more faith in what I know over you.

The reason I have more of a clue than you?? You are a complete and utter homer. You never look at anything objectively. You are a straight up fan who roots way too hard.

That's not a problem for some people, but for you to talk like you are the ultimate and look at everything as subjectively as you...Well, sorry that screams ZERO CREDIBILITY.

I'm Wyatt Earp...You're the BanMan...Eventually you'll get dumped out of here too I'm sure.

Go watch some games (for real) there Wyatt. What kind of Cowboy boots and Cowboy hat did you buy when you moved to Tejas ? Just wondering.

Dont lie either !!! You know that was the first thing you did was go buy a Hat and Boots. I can see you now at your first Texas Friday Night game wearing that "Big Hat" and "Rattlesnake boots" sitting on the 50 yardline and talking to everyone with that New York ascent. So what brand did you buy Wyatt ??

O ya there Slappy. Go back and read my post. I've stated about 100's times that there are teams all across America that could come into Texas and do very well and win some games and lose some games. JUST THAT TEXAS IS #1 WHEN IT COMES TO DEPTH of talent teams. PERIOD. Learn to read ok.

Now , answer the question about the boots and hat ...!!!

I know that there are issues with the rebel flag in West Monroe. There was a huge confrontation last year in an early-round playoff game at WM.

The Rebels were playing McDonogh35, which is an all-black (or very close) magnet public school in New Orleans. There were allegations of racial epithets and extra cops had to be summoned after a brawl broke out.

West Monroe has a reputation for being cocky. Their players and coaches made some fairly bold comments in the press about Evangel during the week prior to the 5A title game.

WM usually has about 2-5% black players on their roster, and those players are usually stars. Coincidence?

Neville(4a) gave Longview fits last year. I think they were ranked # 4 or 5 in LA. The final score was 14-7. It was a good game. We only beat Evangel by a field goal 24-21 in OT. They were very close games that could have gone either way. This year we play WM and Evangel. Both should be very good games.

Neville had a very good squad last year. A huge offensive line and a diverse offense. They were a bit undersized at two of the three linebacker positions (two 170-pounders), but those guys were able to hold up against the run all year, despite my skepticism.

Neville went 12-2 and was ousted in the semifinals at home by John Curtis - 24-21. Last year's Curtis team was stout, much better than in 2003 and better than I expect them to be next year.

If Curtis would have been in 2A last year - as they'll be this year - Neville probably would have been the 4A state champs.

Barney Fife-

Not sure I truly understand where you are coming from with your comments. I have read most the posts created by TexasFrog and found his comments to well thought-out, respectful, and accurate.

It appears to this Texan (who has lived in NYC, made my money and returned to the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS) that you are messin' with this ole boy’s saddle. You might want to get back on that mule that you road to town and head back east.

Tex.

June 14th Issue... The one with Lance Armstong on the cover.

"All Dressed Up And No Place to Go" By John Ed Bradley

John David Booty has been the Next Big Thing since the day he arrived at USC, but he'll have to wait yet another year before he gets a chance to make it big

Nooooo....

that line didn't sum up what everyone already knows...

YOU ARE THE SAME PERSON....

I'm not going to respond about the Hat and Boots comment, you are trying to get my to start knocking Texas and Texans, and I'm not about to do that, but sorry...

Boots and Hats aren't my forte. The first thing I bought was some Longhorn apparrel, that's about as Texas-ized as I am so far.

Tin Horn...

You are wrong, again. Maybe while you are in Austin, you can drive your 1988 Z28 to one the Austin Community Colleges campuses and register for a course that can help you with your inability to cognitively recognize details found in complex subject matters.

Or maybe you can move back to NY.

When are yall going to figure out that no one that posts regularly in here likes reading your continued personal attacks at each other? Most of yall are fairly knowledgable and have good points but fill your posts with personal attacks trying to get revenge from conversations on other boards. Leave that crap out and just post about football. Leave the personal stuff to the PMs.
