http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2281099

1: Texas
2: Ohio State
3: West Virginia
4: Notre Dame
5: USC
6: LSU
7: Flordia
8: Oklahoma
9: Miami
10: Oregon
11: Michigan
12: Auburn
13: Penn State
14: Louisville
15: Cal
16: Virginia Tech
17: Georgia
18: Flordia State
19: Alabama

21: UCLA
22: TCU
23: Arizona State
24: Iowa
25: South Carolina

I agree with #1 and #2 thats a given i thought all year that Ohio State was the best team other then texas and i still think so. I dont like to see TCU a 22 but hey what can u do right. Under Spurrier for a second season i think the game Cocks have a chance to make in the top 15 at the end of the season. I think Michigan will under achieve as well as Oregon. West Virgina may be a little hyped i think they might be a contender when Pat Whites a junior but w/e. LSU could be a sleeper as well as flordia. Notre Dame well i hope they lose quite often, the only team more hyped then USC. Speaking of Usc after losing one of the best back fields ever there still in the top 5, i think they will probably lose at least once this year simply becasue lack of leadership like Leinart and the cast.

what do u guys think ?

When they were on, LSU was as good as anyone this year and their recruiting classes have been as strong as anyone's... Without the distractions of hurricanes and a little more maturity they should be able to remained focused and outperform their preseason ranking... However, its too hard to go unscathed in the SEC no matter how good you are...

yes the Sec is a strong conference at the top but its very weak the rest of the way through.

Oklahoma at #8? I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware that they recruited so many good players recently. We'll just see how good they are when they lose Peterson.

I think that's the justification for a Top Ten preseason ranking for 2006....

right on the money strake, oklahoma was like the second youngest team behind West Virginia, and that young team be a Oregon team that some people thought should have been in the bcs race.
