Within the last year my buddies and I took up disc golf to kill time. I've gotten way more into it than I thought I would. Just wondering if anyone else on here is into DG and where some good courses are.

I'm alright at it... I need to work on my putting... there's a bunch of courses in Austin.

Yeah I found a retailer based out of Austin that I order online from if I can't find a disc here. It also has a list of a bunch of courses around Austin. I'd like to try and make a trip before summer is over.

If you do make the trip I recommend you go to the park off 24th and Lamar. It's kind of tough but I think it's a fun park to play at.

I'll definitely try that one!

There are 2 main courses here in CS - Wolf Pen Creek and Research Park. Just picked up a distance driver and a putter yesterday.

I've played since 1995. Love it.

There are a number of good courses here in the Dallas area.....most are not terribly crowded, but there is a big base of players here. Tournaments every weekend.

LMK if you want info on Dallas area courses.

So what discs do y'all like to throw? There's no one in Abilene that sells anything besides Innova and Millennium, so those are the only brands I throw with currently.

Drivers: Champion Beast, Quantum JLS, Star Xcaliber, DX Archangel

Mid Range/Fairway Drivers: DX Shark, DX Cheetah, DX Eagle

Putter: Champion Aviar, and some random Innova putter I found in the creek beside our main course here in Abilene yesterday

Bump.

Been getting into the sport since I came back for the Summer. I usually go with a couple of friends, but they can't go as often as I like. I'm still not very good, but I love playing! I lived right behind an 18 hole course in Norman this past year and never once attempted to try it out, and I'm kicking myself now. But if anyone would wanna go in the DFW area, lemme know. The closest one to my house is the Bear Creek park off 360, but I know there's a bunch in the DFW area. Tried out Arcadia off 377 yesterday.
