So your team has its chance to prove its the best team. But it does not. What are the best excuses you have heard as to why they couldn't get the job done?

Injuries has gotta be #1. Losing top flight players causes the dynamic of the team to change. In essence, the winning team gets credit for the win, but the losing team gets the benefit of the doubt because of injury. Though at the end of it all.... it's the scoreboard that counts. The excuses are for us fans to have something to talk about... or make ourselves feels better over a loss. Just good old fashioned fodder for the masses. :D

So only the losing team can be with injuries?
Awesome. Let me now go find a losing company to work for and maybe I can miss a lot of work due to you know, injuries ;):D

How could I have forgotten that one. One of the better ones ever. Too bad LP had to come here to play. We all know LP never really lost a game before right Aggie09, LP75 and Fav;)

I think Gray and I are the only ones who remembe that one used from Fav a few years ago. Check that, Gray's hospice just called and said he does not recall that one anymore. Dont worry Gray I'll remind you when I come out to Garland for a game this year ;):)

Before I vote, can you choose two answers, maybe three?
Team injuries.
Hurricane.
Inept referees.
Nevermind the other team showed up and played better. That's irrelevent.

Our heart wasn't in the game/the team that beat us wasn't worth playing hard against.
The other team had more time to practice.

You being drunk might be an excuse for you when your team wins or loses the game but not a reason for them losing the game.
Does there have to be a game involved for Farmer to imbibe? ;)

Of course being drunk has something to do with it. Last year I did not get drunk before the UGA-Bama game and Bama came out and steamrolled UGA. Mohamed Massaquai told me after the game that me not being drunk before the game gave the Dawgs a false sense of hope. They then had the beer god tell them I was drunk at halftime and they came out and played better they told me they would have won had then been the entirety of the game :Music

Suggest Lake Highlands at Williams . Most of our games are on Thursday this year.
The Lady owner of Best Days;):eek:, has asked about you, always keeps a stock of that beer in the red bottle.
That place has turned into a popular spot for kids your age.

I live in Fort Worth, born and raised! Dallas and Fort Worth are 2 DIFFERENT CITIES IN 2 DIFFERENT COUNTIES! Now, don't get me wrong! Dallas isn't a bad city but, we ARE NOT THEM, AND THEY AREN'T US! I can't believe that people still think that Dallas and Fort Worth is one city. LOL!

It's all good! But, for 3 years, from '96-'99, I went to Green B. Trimble Technical High School, before transferring my senior year. I transferred, due to 2 particular reasons.

Sometimes! But, some things went on in the last game of the season during the 98-99 school year. And, some things went on with the team earlier that season that just let me know that I didn't want to play with a team like that.

Interesting. I like it DrEd. Some like to use CalPreps to justify why one team was better than the other too so CalPrpes a double wammy in that it can be used as an excuse on one end and then used as pure justification on the other to settle a debate. CalPreps doing something right :notworthy

Or, it was the best team in their schools history. Ok:confused:
