seems like a good idea...
It's not like the employer will pay 100% of the tax on health benefits...
The employee will pay 50% of the amount subject to Social Security and Medicare...and all (if any) of the income tax on the benefits...
I like it...
I'm self-employed...and have no employees...so it shouldn't cost me a dime...:ninja:

We are self employed but have 2 employees. We don't offer benefits. So it wouldn't cost us anything either.

I hear ya, but didn't Obama ridicule McCain for saying this might be an option. Even took out ads laughing at him.

A continuation of lies of not taxing anybody making under 250,000.00.
Here a tax, there a tax everywhere a tax tax. He lied.

As I understand the bill...if you have employees...it'll cost you...

You should really consider firing one of them...and giving health insurance to the other...he'll probably work twice as hard for you...:)

It will cost you only if you offer and pay health benifits. It would be taxed like income. That was my understanding. We do offer and pay health benefits. What I don't know is, if the employee pays for his/her spouse/dependants premiums would that be taxed as well since they pay for it?

Short Obama answer...YES!!!:)
And I guess if you have employees...and don't cover them...the govt will get it through the backdoor from you...probably a tax??? No???

Yes or it will be mandatory that I have health benefits for my employees and then I will have to cover their families as well because they don't make enough to cover that. I will get to choose, private or government health care. Hmmm, I know which I would like to pick but with all the new regulations and taxes I don't think we will be able to afford the private. And they think they are sooo clever.

So we keep the 60 y/o with no dependents except her cats and get rid of the 27 y/o single mom with 2 kids. Yeah, that sounds right.

Exactly. Pretty darn sad if you ask me.
