Lobo Stadium in Longview is a great one and, as others have said, Waco ISD, Midlothian, and Corsicana are great venues as well. We can NOT forget about Ennis either! Kincaide in Dallas is also one of my favorites. Although, it is shared by multiple schools, the main schools that play there are Carter, and sometimes Kimball and Pinkston, which are all 4A.

Memorial in Wichita Falls is a nice place as well!

IF your heading East away from Dallas, it is on the left side of the HWY or North of I30.

Matt, it's a renovation.. They tore down the Home side and rebuilt it from the ground up (remember the hill and tennis courts that was there -- gone), took out the "field house" to the north (that's the Aquatic Center), replaced the Lights (3 rows - 5 rows each), will be a new scoreboard (not in pic yet), rebuilding of Visitor side press box (gone in pic). The turf /field and track stayed. Not 100% just how much they are doing to the Visitor's side other than possibly expanding it more side-2-side.

AND the best part, added more parking !!! Yep, If you look on the Visitor's side there's a light pole, and parking area that wasn't there before.

And I can't understand that. No one fills a stadium for a track meet. And I really enjoyed running track where it was surrounded by open space where we could sit up a tent. Track meets were a blast in high school where you could sit up the tent, sleep and eat bean dip all day between events.

I think we have had 3, maybe 4 since we put turf in before the 2007 season.

Might be the actual stadium location. It's not right on I20, you have to take a FM road about 1-2 miles to get to it. Royse City you can see the stadium from I30 and you exit right onto the road that goes to it.

They open it up against the La Marque Cougars in week 0!

Waller was in need of a new place because, that other one was really small.

:D We (our construction company) are building that stadium. We also built Royse City, Forney, Lancaster, Wylie and Community.

LOL! Well, I'll tell you one thing. The way that town is growing, they're going to need a new one. Not to mention, if you look at the location of where the current one sits, they really don't have any room to expand it when the time comes for expansion, unless they knock out a couple of those buildings behind the home bleachers.

There is talks that there will be one in their future...There are plenty of folks that dont want it, but they will fade away and the new times will hit Celina soon enough.

Communities is the very basic one can be, but it definately has that old style feel and it works for them since they aren't really packing more than around 1500-2000 per game.

Well, as I said before, there isn't much room for them to expand the current one. That town is really growing, and it's growing quick. Won't be long before they move up again.

Yep. And though the good people of Celina dont want to utter the words "second high school", as the town grows and more and more new people to the area move in, they will start to push things in that direction.

But first, no doubt they will move up classes first.

Yep! Hell, I'm still amazed at how much Forney has grown. They've opened up another one and, they'll still probably be 4A after losing some students. It wasn't that long ago that the Jackrabbits moved up from 3A and now, they've got over 1,800 students.

Bucaneer Stadium in Corpus, Home to 4A CC Miller

It used to be awesome back when I was a kid. I haven't been there in over 10 years though.

Buc stadium is still one of the best stadiums to watch a game. Lots of history and a good feel about the place. It's not one of these sterile palaces, but they have kept it up well and it has great seating. I love it when the Cardinals play in the postseason in CC at Buc stadium. Neighborhood sucks, though.

Celina will be well over a 100,000 before they finally decide to build a new stadium. If they are not hten they will redraw the lines tol make it like the rest of Collin County outside of McKINNEY and Frisco. Meaning Celina will only build if they absolutetky have to. For them there is no other reason to
bulkd one. I still remember my senior year and getting to go to Bobcat Stadium and plahing them toe to toe. I have video on this game if you would like to see but Farmer did do well;)
But that said, no way they build a new anything until they absolutely have too. and inj this day of age of huge enrollement why should they?

I'm taking the different route on them (Celina) and their building schools and a new stadium, I think with the influx of "outsiders" and their own mindsets of building newer better schools and things such as bigger better stadiums, that Celina wont have a choice in it, as bond elections come up, ushering out the old and ushering in the new. I already see that trend in that area and I feel quite confident Celina will head that same direction...its only a matter of when, not if.

Yeah, some of my best football memories were at Buc Stadium. The last game I went to there was 1999 Victoria vs CC Miller in the final regular season game. That was my senior year in HS. Most of the Vipers games have been in crappy Cabiness Stadium.

I agree with the neighborhood around Miller HS. My favorite team in CC though is WB Ray.

It was second only to San Antonio for pure high school stadiums at one time. Not sure if any are bigger now or not with all the new ones and remodels going on.

I passed by the new Keller high school, Timbercreek, today. The field looks like it'll be strictly just a JV and freshman field but, I noticed that it has lots of room for expansion into a full blown varsity level stadium. It also had what looks to be a pretty good sized lockeroom/field house at the south end of the field. Nice field turf with KISD in the endzones, as well.

Does anyone connected to the Keller ISD schools know if they plan to expand this particular field, into a second varsity facility in the near future?
