It started with an argument about how slowly three men were playing golf at the Lions Municipal Golf Course on Enfield Road.

Key word there... Municipal.

I was golfing one day a few years ago at a Municipal golf course in Plano. Long story short, we were pretty slow as there were 4 of us grouped, and we all flat out sucked. We were there to have fun. 3 guys were behind us and moving pretty fast, and said "Come on! Let us play through!"... I said "OK" but another friend said "NO"... There were ongoing arguments all day between the 2 parties... kinda fun actually, untill he accused me of being a baseball player because of the way I swung the club... which is true, I played baseball... there, it's out there now. Run with it.

you should have let them play through. It is very poor sportsmanship not to let a faster group play through unless the course is fully booked up and everyone is backed up. If there was an open hole ahead of you then you were playing too slow. Your friend needs to learn some golf etiquette or do something else. Golf is a gentleman's game and should be played that way.
