Is this shaping up to be a record summer? Highs will reach triple digits here tomorrow and probably won't leave anytime soon. No rain in two weeks.

It was so freakin' hot yesterday. I got off work and was driving home yesterday and it literally took like 15 minutes for my car to cool down. Maybe I need to get my A/C checked but it had never taken that long.
I posted this on facebook, and everyone had a good laugh, but I had an unopened can of diet coke explode on me yesterday in the car LOL. I had forgotten it was there. I thought I was getting shot  :D But then I realized I wasn't driving through Garland ;)

what's funny, as a person that works out in the weather, is hearing someone comment on the heat because of how long their car took to cool off, upon leaving the air-conditioned office...:D

I was never so happy in Dallas when our company relocated to a building with a parking garage. There is no comparison.

Yeah, my old job in SA had a parking garage and I loved that thing.
Here, we fight to park under trees.

We're under a high pressure zone here..the rest of the country is unseasonably cool...Phoenix has set an all time record by not getting to 100 yet...They say parts of Minnesota may not have a summer..doesn't make it any cooler around here though.

Ahh,
The Omega High. Usually reserved for July and August. Already in place.
Yea.
IF there is ANY solace, it is HOPEFULLY, this means that Late July and August
MAY be a LITTLE milder.
(there's always hope).

I learned when we moved to Se Texas that one can break a sweat just walking out to get the paper or even while taking a shower...
Wish we could get some rain. i want this high pressure ridge in August through October, to shield us from Hurricanes...

I think this weather pattern is for the US South. I was in Mississippi last weekend and they are experiencing the same weather patterns we are.

Yes, and he will host a Global Warming telethon from the parking lot at the old Texas Stadium. Featured guests will include all of the hollywood crowd and it will all be sponsored by GE. Parking lots will only be open for hybrids and golf carts. Bottled water will not be served. You can dip you wooden cup in one of the 5 designated drinking pools. Sounds like a good time for all. :p

Just about to hit triple digits??
Down here in SA we have been over 100 pretty much every day for the past couple of weeks. I've seen my thermometer (in the shade) in my backyard at 106, and you could feel a few degrees difference standing in the shade and in the sun...

It said 107 in my car yesterday. I don't think that was accurate but it seemed like it when the soda can exploded lol

Thats hilarious. It just occurred to me how normal people will throw tantrums and get all bothered when they're hot and there is no AC...They'll get in their air conditioned car leaving their air conditioned house to air conditioned work, then go sweat for an hour at the gym.

LOL
I workout at Gold's Gym in Uptown and if you've ever been there you would know that there is NO PARKING. I laugh when people complain about having to park down the street lol....I'm like HELLO, you're going to workout...parking 2 blocks down the street won't kill you. :D

My neighbors give me hell because i don't like to sit outside and drink beer and shoot the bull and stuff during the day.
When you're out sweating and working in the weather, that AC in the house is like an oasis in the desert when you get home. I'm not coming out until the sun goes down. I'm perfectly content to sit on the couch and drink my beer in the AC until it cools off to 85 at night.;)
