USC blew the game. They should have punted instead of going for it on 4th down. Put UT down near the goal line or at the 20. They had not stopped VY in the 2nd half. Make him go 80+ yards. Then they called a TO on the extra point try. Sorry, but two bad coaching errors hurt them. Yes, the knee was down, but in all likelyhood UT would score a FG at least. UT did come up with TWO great 4th down stops. The 1st one was huge since USC was in or near the Red Zone.

Mack already recruiting with that great statement about Texas HS football. Congrats to UT.

I taped the game and plan to watch it again and again!! I am SO happy and so excited for the Longhorns. It has been a long time coming and they deserve all the kudos. Vince was AMAZING and Bush was just ordinary. Matt was acting like a baby but it's been a long time since they have lost...they forgot how to. It's been an eternity since the last time I have seen them do this and this time it's even sweeter - last time I was too young to fully appreciate the significance. Now, I'm going to Academy this morning (they open at 6:00) to get my official National Champions shirt!!!

Yeah, I heard that cry baby talking about how he still thought that USC was the better team. He lost a lot of respect from me for that comment. HE did not beat any of those teams.

Mack Brown should have 3 or 4 titles with the talent he gets. Texas has THE BEST PLAYERS... there I said it, I always have. But the coach, until this year gets in the way. If not for Vince, he would have been in the Holiday Bowl again...It's hillarious watching ole Mack F' it up every year, especially to the turncoats on the other side of the river.

Florida and Cali have had the limelight too long, it is Texas' championship to be had every year, if the cards are played right.
