How do so many 5A and 4A schools get shoes, pants, and jerseys sponsored by Nike or Under Armour?

Theres not all that many school "sponsered" many of the 5a and 4a schools have money to buy the closthes from UA or Nike but correct me if im worng, but Im only aware of SLC being UA sponsered and when the Nike truck was here in katy when we had a televised game, i noticed it had the Highschools they sponsered's logos on the outside. Noticed Katy OP? MNW DLS and maybe Trinity, not alot i think there were 12 teams..

I have been told that Nike has stated that they would like to sponsor Hightower but because of our AD they can not.

ya, unfortunately the fort bend isd AD seems like he does not want to promote his teams for some reason. doesn't like them do be on the radio or tv as well. honestly, that is just flat out dumb in my opionion. what possibly reason would you have to not promote your schools??

Reasons? Purity of the sport, defiance of cheapening commercialism, devotion to tradition.
I'm just halfway joking. I love watching games on TV from my couch and don't mind a school making some $$ on sponsorships.
Bu there's a price to be paid if the commercialism gets to crass, which is always does.

Smithson Valley is one of the "Nike" teams. it does have to do with success and the exposure that they can get in a particular area. The company's try to cover the major markets of the state with the most "exposed" team in that area.Simple marketing-some multi school districts might insist that "all' of their teams get equal billing-some may not. This does factor into their decision.School boards must approve the contracts etc...

This one of the few reasons why I hate living in Sugar Land. FBISD might have the dumbest and laziest AD in Houston.

Lake Travis wears UA as well! LD Bell, Haltom, Richland, Fossil Ridge, Keller, and Keller Central all wear Nike. There are smaller schools who wear Nike like, Kennedale, Graham, Glen Rose, Aledo, Waco High, University, and Carter during the regular season. All of the McKinney schools wear Nike, as well as Lufkin. I think La Marque wears Nike also! Tatum, Hemphill, Gilmer, and Canton, are also Nike wearers. There are a good number of schools wearing Nike products across the state now.

Wearing nike and being sponsered by nike is different, if I coach a peewee team and the parnets(booster Club) fork out enough money to but nike clothes(may be at a slightly cheeper or discounted price) it does not mean we are sponsered.
I may be wrong. maybe all these teams are sponsered, but i cant see nike forking out free stuff for this many schools, many of which get very little exposure.
When i played i remember nike reps coming to our school and giving us t-shirts, bumber stickers, and giving the school like 200 pairs of cleets a yr.
NVM we had to pay 1$. Joseph told us that according to distric policy it couldnt be "given to us"

There is no "might" about it. It is not Hightower's fault that the good athletes live in the school's zone. Look at some of the inner city schools that used to be powerhouses. The athletes started moving to the burbs for obvious reasons and the schools in the burbs started becoming powerhouses.
There is more open space in Missouri City than Sugarland so people and athletes are moving there.
Was this AD ever been an athlete or was he a nerd and now it is his time for revenge?
