Pick the winner.

Jacksonville are having a heck of a year, especially after losing Byron Leftwich. It begs the question whether to go with your franchise player, or the hot hand of the new guy. Maybe Garrard is the Tom Brady (taking over for Bledsoe) of these Jaguars. Going into foxboro I don't think the jags will be able to pull this one out against a pats team that is getting a lot of players back from injury. Plus Bellichek is 9 - 1 in the playoffs. Can you count against that experience. Sorry jtk, but your jags wont win this one.

I say keep Garrard in. He doesn’t have the physical tools that Leftwich does, but he makes the plays that Leftwich doesn’t. I've was a big Leftwich supporter and fan from the second he was drafted, but my support for him is wavering. He hasn’t lived up to expectations and he hasn’t played up to his own ability level. I know injuries have been a problem, but even when healthy he has shown an inablity to play within the system.

As for the game, Jax can shut down New England's offense. The question is whether or not the Jag's offense can put enough points on the board. I think this will be a low scoring game with Jacksonville winning something like 13-10. Jack Del Rio is one helluva coach. His adjustments have been outstanding all year and that will help the Jags in this one. Don't be surprised if this game comes down to the final play.

I hope the Jags win, but I think the Pats will take this one before loosing next round. They got lucky that they lost on Sunday and got Jacksonville instead of Pitt. in the 1st rd.

This one goes to New England. This is Jack Del Rio's first playoff game as a head coach, and very few coach's have won their first one. Tom Brady has never lost a post season game and a Florida team is playing in the frigid Northeast.

Sorry do8, but I have to add that Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, and Don Shula all lost their first playoff games. If Lovie loses his first playoff game it won't be from this fact, it will be from the Bears serious lack of offense. They have the best defense, and you know it will be a low scoring game. It's possible the final score could be 3-0.

i really like this defense..you throw a semi decent offense behind it and WOW

thomas jones has been a great back..most of the year other teams KNEW it was going to jones majority of the time..so i wonder with grossman in (not that he is the saviour or anything) but it'll create more room for jones with grossmans ability to pass better than orton and maybe jones be the deciding thing in the game

yah d08, da Bears are only a few offensive play makers away from dominating the NFC.

a few? IMO its just ONE!

RB=Thomas Jones has got the workload and has produced, Adrian Peterson comes in and offers a rest for Jones and does a good job..Benson just came back im pretty sure so theres depth

WR=Mushin Muhammad, best WR last year, and with grossman he'll finnally get the ball more, orton seemed to favor the younger guys..theres Berrian, whos FASTTTTT, plus Justin Gage is a pretty good WR as wel

TE=Desmond Clark and John Gilmore are two pretty good TEs

Oline=this online is GREAT!! the fact that thomas jones got over 1k yards desipite most of the season the opposing team knew the run was coming..now can they hold off the rush long enough for grossman to make plays with his arm??

QB=This is the ? mark of it all..can the grossman carry the bears to the promise land? can he produce..IMO if he passes for about 200yards a game, and the RB's get at least 100..the bears will be pretty much set, b/c that d will become handy

It reads like you know your Bears pretty well d08. Somethings keeping them out of the endzone. Is it the offensive cordinator? Maybe the offense will turn it around next season with a healthy Cedric Benson.

The cold weather could be a factor in this game... definitely.

They play at 8:00 - The prediction is about 26 degrees, but they say it will feel like 20.

With the weather, plus coach inexperience, I say Pats. Should be fairly low-scoring.

i dont think coach inexperience will have anything to do with the outcome. if anything, it will be player inexperience.

This game turned out to be an easy victory for the Patriots. I'm back to even in my playoff picks, 1-1.

The Jags defense stopped tackling, and the Pats. offense ran off big yardage plays. I guess it was too painful for the Jags to tackle in below freezing temps. Leftwich was ineffective, they brought in Gerrard and so was he.

The odds of Jacksonville winning this game took a nose dive when Leftwich was named the starter. No offense to the guy, but he was limping during warm-ups and he's so slow, he makes Drew Bledsoe look like Michael Vick. Not to mention all the rust from not starting a game in well over a month. Jack Del Rio is a great coach and I really believe he is one of the great young, up-and-coming coaches, but this was a horrible decision. You have to ride the back of the horse that brought you and Garrard was that guy.
