If Gilmer and Carthage both go DI in the playoffs they'll play each other in the first round. All it will take is for both Tyler Chapel Hill and Jasper to miss the playoffs (not likely in regards to Jasper but a possibility with Chapel Hill).
Otherwise... looks like WO-S will have to take on the gauntlet of Gilmer in the Regional Semis and Carthage in the Quarters to move on to the lower ranked teams in the state in the Semis and Finals. ;)
:(
Region III has been brutal the past 4 years in 3A

No Love for Lovejoy?
To leave them out of the Top 25 is a mistake in my opinion.
Lovejoy makes it into the playoffs without a single senior on the team. In 7 on 7 on June 6th at Witchita Falls they defeated the reigning Div. 1 State champs Prosper to qualify for the State Tourney in College Station.
The leopards are a team on the rise and ultimately will prove it on the field.
Were is the Love... :D

They bring back a loaded team and a 1000 yard rusher(Peagram).........More than DMN will have them ranked by EOY.It's alright, the DMN will rank them.

Man, I still wonder what would've happened if Wilmer-Hutchins wouldn't have never gotten shut down before the 2006 season.

That was a heartbreaker......I knew a lot of those kids and they were projected to take it all. That's what 15 years of grown-up administrators without morals will do to you.Man, I still wonder what would've happened if Wilmer-Hutchins wouldn't have never gotten shut down before the 2006 season.

I know wilmer-hutchins got shut down, but what was the story? were they supposed to be very good that year?

Hutch was favored in many circles to take state. The players ended up being split up between SOC and Lancaster for the most part.I know wilmer-hutchins got shut down, but what was the story? were they supposed to be very good that year?

That was a sad case! The timing was even worse, for the simple fact that they actually shut down like 2-3 weeks before school started.

Bro, they were coming back LOADED! They had all 10 starters back on offense, and 11 back on defense. Their lone graduate on offense was a reciever! They had went 4 rounds deep the year before, and ended up losing to the eventual state champion by a field goal.

ALL of the seniors went to SOC, with the exception of Isaiah Oputa. Oputa ended up at DeSoto!
Vincent McNeil Jr. was a freshman on that last Wilmer-Hutchins varsity squad that went 4 rounds deep, and was suppose to be a starting reciever as a sophomore for Hutch, had it not gotten shut down. I'm pretty sure you remember, that McNeil ended up at Roosevelt, where he was a 3 year starter at QB for the Mustangs who, had they not run into Gilmer, they probably would've won the whole thing during McNeil's senior year. The majority of the Hutch underclassmen also ended up at Roosevelt with McNeil, which tells you how bright the future was for Hutch after the 2006 team that got cut short before it started.

Derrious Bell was on that team too....went to Arlington Grace. That team(Hutch) had went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs and returned 10 starters on offense and all 11 on defense. Anthony Webb, Xavier Rambo, Cortney Favors(D1 scholies), That was a monster team. ALL of the seniors went to SOC, with the exception of Isaiah Oputa. Oputa ended up at DeSoto!

My fault! I said 4 rounds but, it was 3!
I remember Bell, and his older brother, Dustin! Both are in line to start this year, one at SMU, and I think the other is at UTEP. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
Anthony Webb made Dave Campbell's First Team Super List that year!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Rambo end up quiting the team at SOC? I know he ended up signing with Kansas, as did Webb.
Where did Favors end up?

I'm really hoping Cuero can break through and win a title. I don't know much about them anymore since I moved away from the area, but I do love me some Gobbler football.
