Pool A- *Woodlands, Klein Forest, Willis, Spring
Pool B- Cy Falls, Westfield, *Klein, Conroe
Pool C- Klein Oak, Baytown Lee, *Tomball, Oak Ridge
Pool D- Cinco Ranch, Dekaney, *Cy Fair, Klein Collins

Some pretty good teams will be there and only one qualified team in each pool, which is a good thing. So what what teams will win their pools and what two teams will qualify for state?

When and where?

I wouldn't mind seeing Lee fling the ball around a little bit.
The Woodlands would be one heckuva drive from Missouri City though.
Maybe I could talk the wife into going to the outlet mall in Conroe and swing by the 7 on 7 on the way.

Does not seem to be many who are very interested in this sqt. I would really like to see how Falls does this time. They seem to have a good group of kids that are coming up just a little short each week. Maybe they are about to turn the corner with this one.;)

For those who were there. Any guesses as to what the Heat Index was? I was there for the semis and final. The heat was pretty intense.

Are you saying KF won the semi's or pool play on a tie breaker?

Klein Forest beat Oak Ridge in double overtime in the final.. gotta like playing hard in overtime when both teams have qualified...

Klein Forest will have a great defense but showed some offensive spark as sophomore 6-1 QB Matt Davis is taking over at QB.. Lewis Williams is looking good in his switch to receiver.. Forest had a strong semifinal win over Cy Falls

Oak Ridge QB Ryan Cyr is a returning starter but Oak Ridge runs a spread option-type flex offense during the season and 7-on-7 isn't their strength... Oak Ridge looks to have some up and coming receivers and sophomore Michael Handy is a 5-10 speedster who could really help Oak Ridge get a 14-5A playoff spot down the road...

<SCRIPT language=javascript>if (getCookie("HideSigs") != 1) {document.writeln('david mcnabb');} </SCRIPT>Cinco Ranch (had made 3 consecuitve semis) didn't make it out of pool play in falling to upstart Spring DeKaney... which was 0-9 in 13-5A last but it's a new school with first senior class coming up...DeKaney lost to Oak Ridge in the semis..

How did Baytown Lee do to anyone that was there?
They did pretty bad in the last 7 on 7, but most of their team was running track that weekend, so I expected them to be at least a little bit better.

Watch out for this kid. I saw him on Saturday. IMO, he has close to Lasco speed and a better fundamental game. Oak Ridge is my dark horse pick to win 14-5a.

Are you saying KF won the semi's or pool play on a tie breaker?

klein forest, willis, and spring all went 2-1 and kf won a tiebreaker on total points scored to advance. which in my opinion is not good because it tells the teams to run the score up every chance you get, which is against the whole sportsmanship thing, right?? spring was up big on willis and sat on the ball the last 5-6 min minutes to avoid the score getting too ugly. not to mention if you go into OT then you obviously have an advantage over somebody who finished their games in regulation.

How did Willis go 2-1? Did Woodlands get DQ

your right, sorry, klein forest and spring went 2-1 while willis went 1-2. BUT all games vs woodlands dont count since they had already qualified so it was technically a 3 way tie between klein forest, willis, and spring all at 1-1.

now I guess I'm more shocked that Willis beat Klein Forest. Not a slight to Willis but thought KF and Spring where much stronger than Willis and The Woodlands
