Texas UIL Track Meet. I looked at the results from the Texas 4A and 5A Field Events and Track events like the 4X100, 200, 100.

Then I looked at the results from the State of Florida Track Meet.

Again for like the 3rd year in a row I find it totally amazing that Texas on a whole has many more kids that are running faster times.

Most of the Florida winners wouldnt of finished in higher than 4th or 5th in the Texas 5A ranks and even most wouldnt of even won in the Texas 4A's

Deerfield Beach, Fl would of won the 4X100 by a hair. But, Texas teams would of taken 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

D.Locke (Chamberlin Fl) would of won the 200M. But, Texas kids would of swept almost the rest of the 200M.

Again, for like the 3rd in now I post this because the electronic times are there too look at and to dispell the "MYTH" once again that the State of Florida has all this crazy INSANE SPEED when compared to other States across America.

There is some fast kids in Florida, but there is many more fast kids in Texas. The results of the Florida 4A meet and the Texas 5A and 4A meet dont deny that.;)

The fastest team in the country is Monsignor Pace (FL) and they're 2A.

Of course you wouldn't know that because of your odd obsession with 4A and above.

Florida isn't even in the same league as Texas when it comes to speed.
California at least has a fighting chance.
This was a down year for Texas track, but in most years you will see about 10-15 Texas teams in the top 30 400 relay teams in the nation.

Texas dominates boys track.
Cali dominates girls track.

It's just the way it is.

The slappy from Louisiana speaks. Ha-Ha-Ha.

I was going to look up the Louisiana Track results but figured the Texas 2A and 1A results were better anyway.;)

Why do it? Because offseason sports, track in particular, often translate to football prowess. Look at your average high school track team, with the exception of your long distance people (cross country kids) the majority of the team is football players. This factors into the discussion because WE all know that Texas plays the best football in the country, period. To discount our football heavy track teams is to discount our football teams, and as a native Texan, I feel the need to defend our football teams at any cost. Plus, half the teams mentioned from other states would hardly make it out of the Bi-District round in Texas. Give me a good Katy team against anyone in the nation anyday. :D:D:D

Defend them from what? I've never seen them come under attack here.

This was a track thread, Einstein.

Monsignor Pace is indeed faster than all of those teams given that they posted the fastest 4x100 time in the country this year. In fact Deerfield Beach (FL) is also faster than anybody in Texas this year.

Maybe you didn't bother to read my correlation of Track to Football in one of my earlier posts. And btw, one relay does not a team make.

Maybe you failed to read the post I was responding to but it's hard to have the two fastest 4x100 times in the country and not be able to compete with another state in the speed department.

Yet another silly statement by a Texan.

Quit riding the "Texan" thing......I have to admit, I never experienced so many fast dudes in my life outside of Florida and Texas. Always came across a few fast dudes (including NC) but those two had the most overall....... Maybe you didn't bother to read my correlation of Track to Football in one of my earlier posts. And btw, one relay does not a team make.
