It was a great result from the United States as they come back to win against Honduras 2-1. Soldier Field looks like an awesome place to witness a Soccer Game.
Plus, El Tri (Mexico) lost to El Salvador 2-1 tonight and there is a considerable gap between the United States and Mexico and Honduras (tied for 4th place). 6 full points.
If the U.S. can just get a draw from Azteca, then the U.S. will be in prime shape to earn a World Cup Bid. Mexico may not even make the 4th place spot. Honduras might take it from them.

There will be no surprise if USA gets into the World Cup. They always pull it off.
That loss Wednesday night sucked though.

Mexico are in real danger of not making it to South Africa; that would really hurt them as soccer is their national sport.

I don't think there is any way the US gets a result from Azteca. Mexico will find a way to play to their potential in that match. The players would be exiled from the country again if they failed to beat the US. They have to win every home game now or they will be in real danger of missing the World Cup.

Ya. Before the Costa Rico game on Wednesday they were ranked 14th in the World.
BTW that goal the US scored in Croatia was the first goal US has scored there in 5 years.
