I just got to watch a DVD copy of the Sulphur Springs vs Dayton Texas 4A D-II Title game. This young man can flat out play QB. He has poise, accuracy, arm strength and a pretty darn good athlete on top of all of that.

I also got to see Sulphur Springs (Tyrik Rollison) in the game against Wichita Falls Rider (ESPN) and in both games he showed some serious passing skills.

I hope that he gets past the Clearinghouse and makes it into Auburn because I think he might get a serious shot this year at playing time. He is already better "Right now" than anyone Auburn has playing QB.

Also, the overall difference between 5-Star Garrett Gilbert (TEXAS) and 4-Star Tyrik Rollison are very slim. If anything Rollison has a slight edge because he is a better overall athlete but they both have about equal passing skills (IMO).

Look out for Tyrik Rollison at Auburn in the coming seasons. Kid is the real deal.;)

I heard it was grades. He listed Tech as his leading suitor, but there was never an offer...

I always heard grades, but I also got the feeling that Tech didn't think he had the mind to be a Leach QB.

Man, he would of tore it up in the TX Tech offense. It will be interesting to see him at Auburn. I know that Auburn is going more to a spread (Zone read) style of offense.

Ya, I heard that grades might be an issue for this young man. Hopefully he can clear the NCAA and get into Auburn.
