All baseball fans know who Yogi Berra is. For those who don't, Yogi Berra is a former Hall-of-Fame catcher for the New York Yankees. Yogi was also known for his Malapropisms, Mangled Metaphors, and Curious Phraseologies, (thus the term Yogi-isms was born.) I would like to share with you the ones I have collected. Feel free to add any you know of. They can be from any person who committed a Yogi-ism.

During spring training one season, Yogi was asked what size cap he wore. Yogi responded, "How do I know? I'm not in shape yet."

Asked by a waitress whether he'd like his pizza cut into four pieces or eight, Yogi replied, "Better make it four, I don't think I can eat eight."

I think I like the Math Yogi-isms the best:
1.Baseball is 90% mental; the other half is physical.
2.You give 100% for the first half of the game, and if that isn't enough in the second half you give what's left.
3.When asked by the waitress how he wanted his pizza sliced, he replied to make slice it into 4 pieces because he did not think he could eat 8.

I doubt we have another Yogi Berra. The journalists nowadays would belittle somebody for saying the stuff he said. They teach you to be perfect before the camera and not make mistakes. In fits of anger a few have NOT been perfect!:p

I suppose my sources could be wrong, but it is in Joe Garagiola's book, Wikipedia on the net, and at least 5 or 6 other sites (I did not look past the first 5 or 6 I found). On the other hand I can find nothing attributing the quote to Ozark.

I thought Ozark said that one. Ozark was never known for having an Einstein mind. Who does Garagiola give credit to for that quote?

You'll be OK as long as he doesn't start consistently putting up 100 or more several times a week. I caught up because I was putting up triple digits consistently. I'm talking about somebody will need to put up 2-3K a month for several months in a row to catch you or me. I don't know the exact numbers, but it looks like I did 2K in October, 4K in November, and 3K in December.

I was talking about Mad doing taxes. I've posted on the board and done taxes for people the last 2 years. With repetition you get pretty good and it goes fast. I have a computer program for taxes.
