Wow.......what a comeback for Mizzou. They were down 21-0 in the 1st half. Brad Smith is a heck of a player. He finishes his college career as the leader in total passing yards with over 8,000 and total rushing yards with over 4,000 as a QB at the college level, and finishes 4th all-time in total yards. Do you think he will be a successful NFL QB, or will he be moved to a wide receiver position? This makes the Big 12 Conference 4-1 in bowl games. With an Iowa State and Texas win the Big 12 could win the Bowl Championship Series Conference Trophy.

Daniel was moving the offense down the field pretty good when Brad Smith got hurt, but Smith came back in and then they missed a short field goal attempt. Gary Pinkel, the head coach at Mizzou said Chase Daniel was going to be the starting QB and they were going with the full spread offense next season.

The announcers doing the game said Chase Daniel was the National High School player of the year last year. I didn't know that. I just thought he was the Texas High School player of the year.

the announcers even said that a lot of people thought daniel shouldve of been the starter this year, but after watching smith turn in a 400+ offensive performance, thats hard to believe.

If Smith only wants to play quarterback then the NFL may not be for him. I am sure that the canadian football league would love to have him at quarterback.

I bet Smith gets moved to WR in the NFL. The Big 12 will win the Bowl series.

sometimes announcers get their stuff wrong. in an OU game this season they said that Hartley made the game winning kick in the '03 state championship for his team....not quite how i remember it

Smith was very inconsistent all year, so as good as his bowl game performance was, you have to look at his whole body of work to really judge him. He was all over the map with his production. He completed 78% of his passes against OK State, but only 38% against Kansas. He threw for 248 yards against New Mexico and Kansas State, but less than 75 yards against Iowa State and Baylor. He ran for 246 yards on 8.8 ypc against Nebraska, but only 16 yards on 1.2 ypc against Colorado. He had some decent games, but rarely did he put together back-to-back good games.

I wish the Horns could have made it to the Rose Bowl this year. Who is USC playing in that game anyway? Maybe Mark May just gave them the NC or something. Ahhh, what could have been.:(
