First off...Adrian Peterson busts his head wide open on the sideline....celebrating a TD he had nothing to do with...

And as if that wasn't enough...Sooner fans start chanting "over-rated" to the Ducks!!!!!!!! The freakin' Ducks!!!! In the Holiday Bowl...bwahahahahaha
Payback is a $#$#@#@%#@ isn't it okie?

The same Ducks that were one INT away from beating them less than a minute before they starting chanting.....

The Sooners must be hanging out with aggy now days...because that is very,very,very.......aggy-ish.

C'mon dawg, give OU, Nebraska and Kansas their credit.....they're making the Big 12 look as strong as it should be acknowledged.

That's right...and as Longhorns fans...we heard about it too. Now it's our turn...

You are chanting "over-rated" to a team that was just running the ball down your throat...and one pick away from beating you??????
That's the part I am talking about.

Yes - I admit it - I was rooting for OU last night - that's why I feel so odd today.

OU really wins with class. Ingram makes a great pick as Oregon is driving to win or tie - then throws the ball into the stands - unsportsmanlike flag - half the distance to the goal.

So, all OU has to do is kneel the ball down twice.

But.....after the second kneel - qb Bomar gets up and spikes the ball in defiant celebration. - unsporstmanlike flag - stop the clock with 20 seconds left - half the distance to the goal. Bomar took 20 years off Stoops' life with that pee-wee league stunt.

Bomar somehow composes himself enough to take another knee on the one - not spike the ball - and let the clock run out.

I love the Sooners - they ooze class.

Oregon was overrated. They are just like Cal last year. The whole Pac 10 outside of USC is overrated. I was glad to see the Ducks get exposed and I laughed out loud when I heard the "over-rated" chant.

I agree jtk...but my point is...considering the pre-season polls...should OU really be chanting "over-rated" at anyone? I mean c'mon...pot meet kettle.

The only teams are worth two sh*ts are playing jan.4, nuff said.

Oregon= Good Team

OU= THE over-rated team of 2005, and anyone trying to argue that is a fool, how you start so highly ranked and then lose oh so pathetically and dwindle your ranking into nothingness is ridiculous. As much hype as they got at the beginning of the year they should have been beating teams like oregon FROM the beginning by 30+ points. But hey, there's always next year huh.

The land thieves preseason rankings were not their fault. What you have just helped to expose is just how ignorant the media is and how stupid these polls are. They just assume that since Mobilhoma was in the NC game last year, they are deserving of a top 10 ranking. However, any fool with a depth chart could look and see that the land thieves lost their best O-linemen, their starting QB, all of their starting WRs and some of their best defensive players. That team was decimated by graduation. The only thing worth a damn that they returned was Peterson on offense and Dusty Whathisname on defense, but I believe Peterson injured himself over the off-season and you don't know when Dusty is gonna go off and start clubbing people with a bat.

On top of all that, all the QBs in the Spring and Summer sucked serious ***. None of them performed well and one ended up transferring. That leaves you with two suck-*** QBs and one is a RS freshman. Now you tell me... What ****** in their right mind would place a team like that in their preseason top 10? The national media... that's who.

The land thieves might have been overrated, but it was not because they failed to meet reasonably high expectations. It was because to many of the monkeys they allow to vote in these polls vote based on name alone instead of doing a little research to discover what a true team's potential might be.

Oregon was grossly overrated because... well... they were ranked #5 in the nation and lost to an unranked Big XII team. Oregon thought they were deserving of a BCS bowl bid over the likes of Ohio state and Notre Dame, when in reality, they probably weren’t deserving of the bowl game they went to.

thats a pretty dumb thing to say......

If you take a look at the history of NCAA football team's alot of times when team's were picked to win regardless of conference have lost even team's as high as ranked number 1, and that over rated Cal team that lost to tech last year also lost to a team by 6point's a team that blew out OU. who which also blew away Tech.

So it really goes both way's team's have there day's or they don't any one who knew anything about football would know that any team can lose any given day.

Oregon had to come back in the 2nd half to beat Houston to start the year. They weren't as good as the record says.

Missouri won, too. I'm smelling 6-2 for the Big 12 right about now with TCU beating Iowa State.

Maybe they shouldnt have been ranked #5 in the nation then, which was my whole point.

No, they shouldn't be ranked that high.

Something tells me Iowa State is going to beat TCU tonight!

To some of you other guys....
As far as Oregon being overrated.....how about saying OU lost to 4 Top 25 teams....TCU on fluke fumble, Texas Tech on a td - that should not have counted, UCLA - even though they had every opportunity to win.....and of course a very talented Longhorn team.

So I didn't think Oregon was overrated....I thought OU looked much better than they did early in the regular season. Could Tech, TCU or UCLA beat them, today?!...Personally, I don't think so!

I was concerned for Tech going into that OU game and was glad they snuck out with a win. OU was not a top 5 team like they were ranked at the beginning of the year, but they lost to some very good teams.

I say Tech could beat OU today because Leach does a good job preparing them for bowl games.

Besides, what do you know?:p

I'm very grateful that OU shut up the whining Ducks. They really had no business in the BCS, and OU proved that. Not saying OU was bad, but karma delivered two ways: A. slapping Oregon upside the head and B. making up for that horrific call in the Texas Tech game.

Lets try Iowa State losing to TCU, TT losing to Alabam and UT losing to USC that will make the Big 12 4-4 in bowls this year right where they should be.;)[QUOTE=ThEgReAtOnE]Something tells me Iowa State is going to beat TCU tonight!

I have a question for you. Why do you choose to live in Texas, but hate the Texas teams? Seriously, if you hate the teams why live here? I don't get a choice where I live, but you do. Why don't you go someplace where you'll get along with others?

Well lonny the military brought me to Texas and I decided to stay...great place to live but that does not mean I have to be a fan of their teams...get real. I am sure if you were stationed in VA you would not automatically become a Va Tech fan or ACC fan no, you would still root for UT so living someplace and rooting for a team are totally separate issues???

No, I wouldn't become a fan of the ACC if I was at Langley. You can also bet I'm probably not going to stay in the state after I retire, either. I don't care if you still like Va Tech. My whole deal is why hate the Big 12 so much if you like living here. That, to me, is cheap. I lived in Delaware for 3 years and didn't like the local team, but I disliked them long before I moved there. It sounds to me like you choose to hate the Texas teams now to be obstinate. It just seems like that's your personality.

No I actually never liked any of the Big 12 teams or Big 8 as it used to be...I used to love it when Nebraska would come to the Orange Bowl undefeated and get beat down by FSU or Miami. I loved it when Clemson beat Nebraska in 81 for the National Championship. I hated OU especially when the "Boz" was there. I thought the old SWC was weak so nothing new my friend. Not personal...must be my east coast bias. When Nebraska finally got over the hump in 94 and beat Miami that hurt but it was great in 2001 when they destroyed them in the Rose Bowl. Although I don't root for or like the Big 12 I will admit that UT has a good team. One more thing UT is 0-1 vs VTech!!!
