SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- If Nebraska returns to national prominence next season, the Cornhuskers will remember the Alamo Bowl -- especially the frantic final play.

Zac Taylor threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Terrence Nunn (Cy-Falls Class of 04) with 4:29 left, and Nebraska survived Michigan's lateral-filled, game-ending play to beat the No. 20 Wolverines 32-28 on Wednesday night.

"This puts us back on the map," said Cory Ross, who ran for 161 yards

Before Nebraska (Cypress Falls HS)
One of the top receivers in the Texas high school ranks, Nunn came to Nebraska from Houston's Cypress Falls High School. Nunn was a first-team all-district selection his final two seasons for Coach David Raffield at Cypress Falls. He hauled in 34 passes for 471 yards and scored five touchdowns as a senior. A preseason second-team All-Greater Houston selection, Nunn was named Cypress Falls' Offensive MVP in 2003. His top game came against Jersey Village when he had a pair of touchdowns.

A standout as a junior for Cypress Falls, Nunn caught 27 passes for 623 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged more than 23 yards per catch in his first varsity season. He had three touchdown catches in one game against Cypress Creek.

Nunn was ranked as the No. 67 receiver in the nation by Rivals.com, while SuperPrep tabbed him the No. 102 overall prospect in Texas. Nunn was also an all-region selection by PrepStar. He was selected to play in the second-annual Bayou Bowl that pitted the top players from Texas against the best from Louisiana. Nunn chose Nebraska over Wisconsin and Oklahoma State.

A speedster on the track, Nunn had a personal-best of 10.6 seconds in the 100-meter dash. He was also a member of the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams and was a four-year track letterman.

It was SO great to see T Nunn on TV last night!! He was so much fun to watch when he was at Cy Falls and I was so proud of him last night. Good to see those Eagles excel out there. Ricky Price and Andre Sexton had a few mentions during one of the Oklahoma State games I was watching too. All of them are great kids and I wish them all the best. Then we have Scott Kazmir on the baseball side over at Tampa Bay and I think one of the Bubela's is playing in the majors too....Cy Falls is finally getting on the map!!
