you're obviously wanting people to start talking about Riley and Tre...so here i'll save you some time:

Riley Dodge and Tre Newton will probably be the top underclassman QB/RB tandem next year.

similar to that "Who is the best Junior QB next season" thread, wanting people to talk about Riley.

Tre Newton reminds me alot of Jerod Douglas (Converse Judson RB early 90s).

What do you guys think of Justin and Josh Johnson? About 3000yds and 38 TDs between them as a Junior and Soph. duo.

I really hate these types of threads. They are ridiculous. Why don't you just make the title say that you think your team has the best QB/RB. I have been chewed out for saying this before, but I don't care.

Since SLC fans pick their own, I will pick mine too. Claybon and Turner will be DYNOMITE!!! next season

I can see the reason for this thread, but I'm going out on a limb but...I'm betting that the best Sophmore duo is going to be Mitchell/Dean at Katy.

No doubt that combo was shear greatness this year. Justin creates a lot of his own yards. It will be interesting to see how well Josh does with a pretty inexperienced line next year. One thing I did notice about Josh is he doesn't need much of a crease and once he's in the secondary I don't recall anyone being able to run him down. These two were a lot of fun to watch this year and I hope they're just as much fun next year.

Lufkin's JaCory Turner definitely gets my vote for underclassman rb of the po's this past year. Turner started off slow - fumbled a few times early - which gets you in the doghouse - then he twisted an ankle pretty badly. He really did not hit full stride until the playoffs.

In round figures - his po rushing numbers were

Rnd. 1 - 100
Rnd. 2 - 160
Rnd. 3 - 70
Rnd. 4 - 130
Rnd. 5 - 160
Total - 620 yards

with an avg. over 8 yards a carry - pretty impressive.

And he was still splitting carries with Kibble in those games. If he stays healthy for a whole year he could have 2,000 plus next yer.

Foswhitt Whitaker will be best running back next year.

Whitaker started out strong but fell off at the end of the season, i see him having another 1000 yd season but mor in the 1200's or 1100's, teams will catch on. JR Qb and Rb duos, most likely at this point it would have to be Dodge and Newton of course newton could have a 1300 season b/c the 2500 or more passing yards of dodge will keep every one on their toes. Oh and the 2500 would be the minimum in a BAD season for a slc qb. Mitchell and Dean would have to work a little bit more for their stats, evry one who trys to keep up with Katy football would know tht next yr isnt supposed to be such an up to par Yr for us. The Jr's are, no offense, not so great except for a certain few like R.williams(LB), Fuda(Wr), and Knauss(ath). If Katy is to be good it will be b/c of hard work and executin like usual and good play by the to be Jr's

whitaker could have been top rushers if the coach would have let play the whole game. He only play 2 quaters in 4 games. Next year he will be top state rusher.

True!! But rb Trevon Lewis will. ( Most hyped Lufkin player since Reggie). Turner and Lewis could be a lethal 1-2 combo if Lewis lives up to the hype. He will be a sophomore next year.

South Garland should have a great Jr.-Jr. combo next fall.

QB Nick Florence and RB Terry Asante. They were both 1st team all-district picks as sophomores this year.

This is true. They will need a good O-Line to step up and if they do it will be crazy.
