This is just BS! He sucked! We all knew Adam was the clear cut winner. Adam will be the bigger star of the two. All this show is is just a big screwjob waiting to happen. All it is is just buildup of the biggest superstar only to have him lose early or lose in the finale. Just look at Chris Daughtry. Taylor Hicks sucked and won it. Daughtery got booted early and has gone platinum more than once. Taylor Hicks....not so much. Once again, Idol just screwed its biggest star. They never seem to get it right. They always go for the person that is just not good enough. It just sickens me.

Doesn't matter who wins. Still going on tour and dropping an album. The winner will probably get a little more of a push than the runner up. But Kris needs it more than Adam.

Dude can sing... as long as he sticks to acoustic type things. That song that the new judge lady wrote didn't sound that good to me. It sounded to big for him. At least in my opinion, but dude won anyways. Congratulations.

First......both guys gonna be successful.....different styles....different tastes.....you whiners gotta realize that rock isn't everything....there are other types of music.

There will be at least 5 or 6 people on Idol this year that have commercial success.

You gotta realize that record sales and downloads are what it's all about, and Kris was a top 10 download......women really like that soft style of music.....he's gonna sell a bunch of records.

Adam is fine.....his course is set....he may actually be better off not winning, much like Daughtry is.

Some Idol winners are succesful, some aren't...for every Taylor Hicks there is a Carrie Underwood.

Finally, an analogy.....Kris performed with Keith Urban and Adam performed with KISS...there is a reason that Urban is on the radio and selling records and KISS is not......his type of music sells right now and KISS's does not.....an appropriate analogy as to why Kris won, in my opinion.

Also, it would be easy to say that Steven Tyler is more talented that James Taylor......but James had on heck of a career with a much different style of music......Kris does what he does well, and the women and girls of America agreed.

I thought the winner was determined by the number of votes he/she receives from the public. Kris probably got all the girlies votes from age 9 to high school and them some. I thought Adam was the best but he is just going to be a rock star. Kris will have a little more diversity and is probably more marketable.

KISS plays on my radio. :) But true, they haven't released an album since 2003. However, my daughter knew who they were and we had to back up to hear Ryan say who Keith Urban was. LOL And we don't own any KU records either but we have plenty of KISS, on vinyl even. :D

Adam was a good singer... albeit one dimensional though....he could really belt out the rock songs. After about week 4 it was pretty boring listening to him whale and stick out his tongue. The fact is Chris received more votes and I bet by a large amount. Adam turned off a lot of mid road listeners.

The math is real simple. 3rd place sings in his church and his votes weren't going to go to hotshot. You knew the other guy that went to church was going to get the votes.

i haven't watched this show since the auditions...my mother had a little catching up edition with me on who was who. based on the judge's gushing over the gay dude, i was pretty sure he was going to win. he's good singer for sure, but the high pitch yelling/screaming was a no-go for me. the other guy, i liked his style of singing better. wasn't sold on either one to be honest. both will probably be succesful though in the long run.

Kris won on the teen vote and the leftovers from Danny. As a performer he has no business being compared to Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, David Cook or Kelly Clarkson. He'll fade away after a year, or get stuck hanging around with Robin Thicke and Gavin Rossdale. He doesn't have near unique enough of a voice or style to become the kind of icon Adam could.

Adam will be fine, though. It's probably best that he didn't win, because his obligations to Simon Fuller and 19 will be far less tight than they are for Kris, and it will give him the space to become his own artist a little sooner.

It's cool for Kris that he won, but I think that will definitely be the high point of his career.

He is a great rocker....but to me his wailing was a bit boring, and predictable. He only led Kris by 1 million votes from last week. I am not the only person to comment about his strange acts probably costing him first place. He is a great performer, has a great stage presence but seemed if he wasn't wailing he was average.

I think every song except his last song in competition sounded better than the original artist. His vocals were great. He tends to appeal to more than teenagers though. Look at the vote. I bet if the vote count were known he would have beaten Adam by at least 10 million.

Yeah... I mentioned earlier in this thread that the segment with her and Kara was far and away the best part of the show.

I thought "Bikini Girl" looked better without the boob job... just put a bag over her head... now I know she is made of plastic...
