The Cowboys are really, really lucky to have beaten Carolina. Did you see the last fg attempt that Cundiff missed, but got run in to by Julius Peppers?

Cundiff misses the kick wide right. Peppers crashes the line, gets free and jumps up to block the fg attempt. Another Panther also dives in from the side and both get to the blocking point at the same time.

Did you see where the kick went? The ball went under Pepper's left arm, a milimeter right of his belt and just left of the second defender's arm, threading the needle between Pepper's waist and the second guy's arm. If the kick goes straight -- it hits Peppers in the gut, if it goes an inch further right, the second guy blocks it. The kick was missed, neither player touched the ball - both ran into the kicker, and the Cowboys later scored after the penalty.

How lucky can you get.

Shed a tear for Billy Cundiff - Parcells just released the beleaguered kicker moments ago and re-hired Sean Sweesom - the 4th?? kicker for the Pokes this year.

KTCK in Dallas confirmed that it was unbelievable Peppers missed the block. Charlie Waters stated he even believed Cundiff kicked wide right ON PURPOSE to miss the block.

I figured Parcells would just put out and ad in the classifieds of the Dallas Morning News at this point.
