With the proposed playoff superbracket for three playoff teams, there is that controversial bye week for district champions. Do any of you think that the UIL will make a superbracket with the 4 playoff teams and just make the Divisional state champions square off for the ultimate state champion? I think the UIL might actually be moving in that direction. As much as the UIL doesnt want a 7th playoff game, the 3 playoff team superbracket would provide it, so you might as well add the 4th playoff team and eliminate the bye week. That would be my "superbracket" proposal.

Seed the fourth place team with the district champion.
Second and third place teams square off on each other too.
No enrollment brackets...that doesn't work overall.

I'm all for it. The teams don't go to school the week after Christmas and you can always start the games the last week in August and end the week before Christmas.

The #2 reason the Super Bracket was voted down by the coaches was because of the extra week. Even though you can format it to end on the day Division 2 does now, they still didn't want to add the extra week game wise. They didn't like the possibility of having to play a 17 game season (if they didn't win district...district winners could only play 16).
