Jerryworld to be known as Cowboys Stadium.


Call it Cowboys Stadium

Speaking at the Cowboys annual golf tournament for their sponsors owner and general manager Jerry Jones just announced the team's new stadium will be known as Cowboys Stadium.

Jones said the team considered other names but settled on Cowboys Stadium.

"Texas Stadium, we certainly have a deep embedded vision of what it is and at some point we will say was," Jones said. "But we'd like to keep it at that. It's certainly fitting when looking at the tradition of the Cowboys for it to be Cowboys Stadium. It sounds obvious and simplistic but it's right."

I'm sure Jerry will roll out a corporate sponsorship soon enough... He's probably waiting for the economy to recover so he can get his $$$.

But, I think the reason that he didn't go with Tom Landry, is because of what GTown02 said. As we all know, Jerry wants to get paid!

Count me in on that as well!

I can't blame JJ though. With the price tag for the naming rights to that joint coming in at 15 - 20 million or more, I would wait and see too. Can't fault a man for holding out to get what he wants for anything he owns, especially when it's that big a number.

No can do. If Jerry did this, and then changed it later when the big sponsorship deal comes along, he'd get blamed for firing Landry TWICE. Give him credit, even Jerry is not that stupid.

And he would do it again. Their is no boundries to his stupidity. This said, I still like him better than Hicks or Cuban (Baby Huey).

It could up the price. It could be The AT&T(or whoever) Tom Landry Field. Tom Landry's name still carries alot of class and respect.

Oh wait we are talking Jerry Jones.

I loved Landry, but he needed to go.

Johnson was never going to stay in Dallas for very long regardless of what Jerry did. Jimmy was the type of guy that always wanted to go date another girl and leave what he had.
