ESPN just announced Tony Dungy's 18 year old son James was found dead in his Tampa apartment. No details released as of yet and no cause of death listed.

Tony is my favorite NFL head coach by a mile - a strong Christian man - this must be a tremendous blow to the family. Prayers for his family.

I can't believe that lil' guy, now teenager, I used to see on the sidelines behind the team laughing w/ and at the players is gone. I know he'll be cheering the team on during there run for the Super Bowl from above.
My heart goes out to the Dungy Family as well as the Colts! Be strong, See it Through!

Sad,sad story. I like Tony Dungy...he is a rare humble and soft spoken coach...in a league filled to the rim with egos. This is just horrible...

Ditto to wide's comments. Dungy exemplifies the ultimate in class, and this is just tragic for he and his family. Hopefully, the Colts family and others will rally around his family and help them through this tough time.

I really feel bad for him. It's really hard on a person to lose a loved one and it will take time for him to recover from this tragic loss. I think now that the Colts are going to ultimately try their best to win this one for Dungy and his family.

I think this will unify the Colts and they'll win the Super Bowl.

How about you stop thinking about the superbowl and start thinking about saying a prayer for him and his family.

Football needs to be the last thing on your mind when something like this happens.

I am sorry if I am speaking out of turn here. But who are you to say that Lonny is not saying a prayer. Just because he did not post those thoughts does not mean he did not feel that way. We had a Katy player lose his father this year and he played in the game the next night. Perhaps that is exactly what he needs to get through this tragedy. Maybe you should say another prayer and not thrash the way others show concern or grief.

it was unreal..you wouldnt believe the things on there if that was really his space..theres like a lil area where you can post messages and there were some giving prayers to him and telling him how they were gonna miss him..thats the only thing that keeps me thinking it really was his space..and if it was it painted a bigger picture of him that would be way off of what DUngy his father is like..

guess it dont matter right now fact of the matter is that they just lost there loved one and must be in pain at the moment..

Thank you, Miss Kitty. I said a prayer before I ever posted anything. Those who have read what I've said on this board know where I stand on religion and God.
