Almost every copyright in the world allows you to make BACKUP copies of media...
The reason you can't find the answer is because of the question...
You need to determine the type of DVD media you have to copy...
Start by reading about DVD+, DVD-, DVD-RAM, etc...
How do you watch it now??? Do you have a DVD player in your computer (hardware DVD) or are you using software DVD???
Do you have a DVD burner??? What DVD formats will it read??? Write???
Is the original DVD copy protected??? What scheme of protection is used???
Depending on your answers to these questions, you will require different hardware and software...Copy protection can be incorporated into the original DVD...the software used to copy...and the burner itself...

Post more info and we'll try to copy whatever it is...

I thought you were a computer-nerd too? since you post thousands of post each month could get you time playing games? by the way, all you need is DVD Burner and go to Windows Media Player and just browse it through to find your Dragons Video. Simple? or do I need to explain it more?

Most DVD burning software has a way to make an image of a dvd...that is the same as making a copy to your harddrive.

Also some DVD burning software has an option when you put a DVD in it will ask...create dvd or copy dvd. if you copy and you only have one dvd drive it will automatically copy to an Image writer and then from the image writer to the new dvd

Sounds like the way to go.
