A posting on The Little Southwest Conference site says the former Midland Lee HC Randy Quisenberry is headed to SV as OC. Has anyone heard that.

ROFLMFAO !!! :notworthy
... sorry, my SV brothers, but this really did make me laugh, my bad. ;):D
From the outside, lookin in department..........................
Larry Hill is a very, VERY good coach. To me, his primary talent lies on the Offensive side of the ball.
If this rumor has legs, what is the point of the exercise for Coach Quisenberry? I mean, is this fella looking at the position as a springboard to a HC somewhere else?
Thoughts, anybody??

I would be very suprised but will make a few calls myself. It would suprise me very much if Hill allowed anyone else to control his offense. He is so meticulously involved in the offense and special teams from practice to the games.

Smart Alec!
I remember a sales call in the Houston area, some years back. A gentleman and I got to talking about HS Football, and the fella (whose name I can NOT recall) was a BIG Katy fan. We had a real good talk, and he was VERY curious about "where is Smithson Valley?? We're playin Smithson Valley this weekend, and I don't even know where that is!"
The year? 2002. We all know how that turned out.
He knows where SV is now. AND I got the sale!
:D
If it makes you feel any better, I have never been to Rhodes, but have seen Katy play in person, three times. SO, to me, Katy is either in Houston, close to Tully, or down by Rice!
Just a joke.
I know (about) where Katy is.

I see you got a laugh too. it's all good, my friend. most everyone that follows top classification high school football knows where both Smithson Valley and Katy are located. I only followed it when my son got into 9th grade , but now I hooked. I had never heard of SV before my boy got into 10th grade at Katy, but I got the rundown real quick after I was adopted by my Katy brethren. Trust me when I tell you that there is tons of respect for SV coming from 99% of the Katy fans. (there's at least one hater in all of our crowds) Something tells me this is reciprocated by SV as well.

Oh heck yea!
I don't speak for anyone but myself, but I consider Katy, the "Carrot". I don't want to trivialize ANY opponent, for getting TO Katy is an accomplishment in itself. Once there, I enjoy watching Katy play.
I just enjoy watching them sometimes, more than others, and you probably have an idea what I am talking about!

Don't be fooled by what has happened at Lee, Quis is a winner and a disciplinarian. From what I have heard about Hill this could be a great marriage or a springboard to bigger and better things for either coach.

If I remember correctly Hill was one of the finalists for the Lee job when Quisenberry was hired. If not a finalist he either applied or was contacted by the district.

We are on the same page, Quis is an excellent coach and if he would have gotten the nod instead of Mayes I don't think we would have had the dark years we went through. Guys Quis is one of the few good coaches out there that has been hung out to dry twice at good programs due to politics, He's all about discipline on and off the field. Here is how bad it was at Lee, He shook the tree a little his first season and numerous players walked because they didn't want to conform. Numerous parents thought that they could coach through political pull with the MISD and certain board members set their sights on forcing him out. The kids that walked off werent allowed to return to the team because the way they left plus a few ended up over at Midland Trinity(I think) and tried to come back but were ineligible, It's been several years since that happened and I am working off memory so some of the facts might be a little off.

Am I, the prettiest?!
am i the baddest mofo lowdown in this town?!!?! ( sho nuff!)
my favorite movie growin up for sure.
back to the topic, i just don't see hill handing over the reigns, especially given his mentally for meticulous repetition and precision. i can, however, see the need for him to bring in another offensive mind to coincide with his, probably to try and get over this curse thats plagued him throughout his tenure here.
so basically what i'm trying to say is, i have no f*****g clue:D
