Anybody know what all they have coming back? They lost some very good seniors in Henderson, Ford, and Pimpton, but they played alot of juniors and sophs as well.

Heslep the QB was a junior. Jackson the leading the receiver and second leading rusher was a JR. They should be good.

Cooper should be a very solid team this coming year. I think they'll have a tougher time replacing Pimpton than they will replacing Henderson and Ford on the defense.

they will probably contend with Frenship for the district title again

they'll have a really fast offense. most of their receivers are coming back.

The Cooper 7 on 7 Team has qualified for the 2009 Division I 7 on 7 State Championship Tournament to be held at Texas A & M University July 10th & 11th.

The Coogs qualified by winning the Colleyville Heritage State Qualifying Tournament held in Grapevine on Saturday, May 30th. In pool play the Coogs beat Arlington Martin 46-34, Saginaw Boswell 55-20 and Hurst L.D. Bell 40-27.

Cooper defeated SouthLake Carroll 27-25 in the Semifinal game.

And in the Championship game defeated Colleyville Heritage 46-33.

I know it's only 7 on 7, but that sounds pretty good to me!:D

Agreed, making the 3 hour drive to the metroplex paid off...Some nice pics of them at the tournament.

I might be making a trip to Abilene to see them play Dunbar this coming season. I'd like to see who Cooper will have holding White!

Cooper's got a good 7on7 squad.........was certainly impressed with their potential............let's see if it all translates into wins this fall.

Oh! I thought that they were switching it up this year, with Wyatt playing Abilene High, and Dunbar playing Cooper? Oh well!

I still may come that way to see them against Abilene again.
