When did the pre-game circle of players get started? I assume it is the captains or seniors that get up & go around exhorting the players..cool stuff & I don't remember it from 03..

What is the circle they do when they all lay on their stomach with someone in the middle. I was guessing it was all the seniors (starters only maybe) having their say before their last HS game. Am I close? Do they do this every game? I thought it was pretty cool.

Yep, that's an every game thing. The entire team just goes out and runs around to get loose, then the entire team lines up in the circle. In the late 90s when I was there we would just take turns talking but no one would stand up. It was open forum, whoever speaks up has the floor. Now each of the four captains takes the center and has some words. Very cool way to set the tone for the day.

They have been doing that ever since I can remember and I have been with the Tigers since I was born...Mrs. Johnston, Coach Johnstons wife, used to babysit me. also my brother played football when he was in high school.

before they went into one big circle, they were in many seperate circles spread out across the entire field. I assume that they were all in position meeting type stuff.

Its actually not position circles...just circles of friends.

Not in Katy. If you wear the pads in Katy, padz, then you have a friend. Know what I mean?

They don't get in any specific circles. Everybody just goes to their friends and talk about anything. If they do go to position circles, then Lopasky is a reciever now.

IMHO the black pants look better with the white jerseys. Did you notice with SLC's colors and Katy's that the game had a real Christmas look to it?

I'm not the train's caretaker. It will probably show up at other Katy sporting events. Soccer is the one that seems to be the most appropriate.

I believe they put in back in storage...there might be a chance that they will bring it out for baseball season, but who knows.

I hope that it starts making public appearances. I know groups that would very much like to have it at their event, not to mention at other sports. Tires may find himself busier than he ever thought with the train. He just needs more crew!

Tigerjag is a she. Tiresrcool built that train all by his lonesome. I'm part of the crew as well. We are trying to get school officials to have students involved with the train. I want for Tires, myself and other adults to oversee the assembly and dis-assembly of the train at games and then let students (drillteam, cheerleaders, baseball, softball players etc.) pull it around during the game. It would give other students more extra-curricular involvement with their school.
