Not sure but are they a for sure 4A school next season and Buda Hays a 4A man these two teams very well could dominate the 4A ranks. Im not buying that Highland Park bull crap eventually they will get whats coming to them they will no doubt have to play 5A eventually.
Plus is there a chance Lufkin might get thrown into a district with Spring Westfield. Man Knowing the UIL we might be playing 2A next year in Arkansas.

here the low on that......our latest numbers were 1950...the cut off is 1910 i think....there possibly movin the cutoff up to 1990 so that would put us belton, and waco all 4a in a new district....personally i wouldnt cause as a player i wanna win 5a

I would rather stay in 5A. There is not a lot of difference between the good 4A and some of the 5A programs.
I am not sure what type of team we will field next year but i am sure Jack and the staff will put together a tough team.
Waiting on 2006 Football season to begin.

Even though many people are saying that only 245 teams will be in 5A, I still think that maybe there will be at least 256. I believe that the fourth team was added to the playoffs to accommodate the growing number of new schools in the state (which most end up being 5A sized), not so much only to increase the playoff chances for 5A schools.

There is talk that Copperas Cove may be thrown into a 4A district with Ellison, Killeen, Brownwood, Lampasas, San Angelo and Abilene Cooper along with belton and waco....That is crazy

Every time UIL has shuffled us for the last 6 years, we always hear we're headed for 4A. Somehow we've managed to escape that each time. Seems like the rumors have a little more substance to them this time around, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us back in 5A again.

Cove has an enrollment of 1959.5 and will drop to 4A.
According to Rivals, the UIL is keeping the 245 (244 for Football) team cut-off for 5A.
I agree with Consol Tiger, Consol and Bryan should be with the Houston schools--probably Conroe ISD and Lufkin.

If you're talking about Garland when you say G-Town, then I would probably have to disagree with you. If we have anything to say about it, all 7 schools will stay in the same district and if I'm not mistaken all 7 have above the cutoff for 5A.

In my opinion, 13-5A will keep Harker Heights, Shoemaker, and Temple. Bryan and Consol will move to 15-5A, with Conroe ISD and Lufkin, and Belton, Waco, and Cove will move to 4A.
Joining the district will be Georgetown and the 4 Round Rock ISD schools.
Only 3 of the schools are true CenTex schools. The others are Austin suburbs.
Is it still Super CenTex?

That sounds right for 25-4A or so. Is this the new Super CenTex?

super cen tex has to be considered with the classic teams like temple, belton, elison, and killeen. So i would say yea, thats the new super cen tex district.
If 13-5A Gets all the RR schools look for HH to get 1st or 2nd every year.
I say the district will keep cove tho. I wouldnt be suprised if killeen and elison moved up . Anything can really happen.

Yeah....that district along with the 4-A district. Back in the early 90's 13-5A had Waco, Temple, Cove, Georgetown, Killeen, Killeen Ellison, Round Rock, and Round Rock Westwood.

I really hope Cove stays in 5A. We have been getting better all the time and are at a point where we are learning how to win some big games. However if we drop to 4A there's probably nothing we can do about it. My concern then would be if we could get some quality 5A teams to play us. Nobody wants to lose to a 4A team, particularly a well known program in 5A. Go Dawgs

Cove will NOT stay in 5A unless the UIL increases the number of 5A schools from 245...which they've already said that they won't.
So look for Cove to be a 4A power next year.
